Experience:
1. Production Planning & Control (PPC)
Develop master production plans based on confirmed orders, delivery dates, and factory capacity.
Prepare and control line loading, capacity planning, and production sequencing (cutting, sewing, finishing).
Ensure OTIF (On-Time In-Full) shipment performance for all knit orders.
Monitor daily production status and identify bottlenecks; take corrective action proactively.
Coordinate with IE & Production teams to optimize SMV, efficiency, and output.
Ensure production plans are realistic, achievable, and aligned with buyer delivery schedules.
2. Supply Chain Management
Oversee end-to-end supply chain: yarn → knitting → dyeing → finishing → garment production → shipment.
Ensure timely procurement of yarn, fabric, trims, and accessories as per production plan.
Closely monitor lead times, material availability, and supplier performance.
Maintain optimal inventory levels to avoid overstocking or material shortages.
Develop and manage approved supplier & subcontractor networks (local & nominated).
3. Logistics & Shipment Management
Coordinate with Commercial & Logistics teams for export planning, booking, and shipment execution.
Ensure correct shipping mode selection (sea/air) based on urgency and cost.
Monitor shipment schedules and resolve last-minute risks to avoid delays.
Ensure proper documentation and buyer compliance for export shipments.
4. Cross-Functional Coordination
Act as the key coordination point among Merchandising, Production, IE, QA, Commercial, and Warehouse.
Participate in PPM (Pre-Production Meetings) and order risk assessment.
Communicate production and material risks clearly to top management and buyers (through merchandising).
5. Cost Control & Efficiency Improvement
Drive cost optimization initiatives across PPC and supply chain functions.
Reduce air shipment dependency through better planning.
Control wastage, excess inventory, and re-handling costs.
Support continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean, 5S, and digital planning tools.
6. Team Leadership & Development
Lead PPC, Supply Chain, and Planning teams with clear KPIs.
Build a strong second line through training and performance management.
Conduct regular reviews on plan vs actual performance.
Promote a culture of accountability, transparency, and problem-solving.

Educational & Experience Requirements

12–15+ years experience in knit garments industry
5+ years in senior PPC / Supply Chain leadership role
Experience with export-oriented knit factories
