Job Responsibility:
The General Manager – Audit is responsible for leading and strengthening the internal audit function across all business units of the Electronics and Automobiles division. This role ensures robust internal control systems, regulatory compliance, and effective risk management across manufacturing, supply chain, dealership networks, and corporate operations. The position plays a critical role in safeguarding company assets, ensuring financial accuracy, and enhancing operational efficiency. The GM – Audit will oversee audit planning, execution, reporting, and follow-up, while advising senior management on governance improvements and risk mitigation strategies.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute a comprehensive annual internal audit plan covering manufacturing plants, distribution channels, showrooms, service centers, and corporate functions.
• Design, implement, and continuously improve internal control systems to protect assets, optimize operational efficiency, and minimize risks across production and sales operations.
• Conduct financial, operational, compliance, and technical audits, including factory operations, inventory control, procurement, and after-sales service activities.
• Review accounting records, financial statements, cost structures, supply chain transactions, and inventory management systems to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and transparency.
• Identify control gaps, financial irregularities, fraud risks, and operational inefficiencies, particularly in procurement, dealership operations, and logistics, and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with Bangladesh regulatory requirements, taxation laws, import/export regulations, and corporate governance standards relevant to the electronics and automobile sectors.
• Prepare detailed audit reports with actionable insights and present findings to senior management and the Board Audit Committee.
• Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and ensure timely closure of identified issues across all units.
• Evaluate and enhance enterprise risk management frameworks, with particular focus on supply chain risks, production risks, and market-related challenges.
• Lead, mentor, and manage the internal audit team, ensuring effective resource allocation, performance management, and professional development.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, engineering, finance, and sales to promote a culture of compliance and continuous improvement.
• Perform any additional assignments as directed by management in line with organizational priorities.
