• Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance

• FCA / FCMA / ACA/FCCA or equivalent professional degree is a must.

• Ensuring accurate, timely preparation of financial statements

• Maintaining compliance with GAAP, IFRS, or local accounting standards

• Managing monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes

• Supporting the Board of Directors in developing and implementing financial strategies aligned with business goals

• Providing financial insights and analysis to aid in decision-making

• Contributing to long-term financial planning and budgeting processes

• Preparing annual budgets, forecasts, and periodic variance reports

• Monitoring departmental spending against budgets and recommending corrective actions

• Establishing cost control measures and tracking KPIs

• Overseeing day-to-day accounting operations (GL, AR, AP, payroll, inventory)

• Ensuring timely filing of VAT, income tax, and other statutory returns

• Liaising with tax authorities and external auditors

• Maintaining compliance with corporate laws, labor laws, and regulatory requirements

• Monitoring cash flow to ensure operational liquidity

• Managing bank relationships, loan facilities, and credit lines

• Overseeing funds management, including payments, collections, and investment of surplus funds

• Implementing internal control systems to safeguard assets

• Identifying and mitigating financial risks

• Ensuring compliance with audit requirements and coordinate internal/external audits

• Leading, training, and mentoring the accounts and finance team

• Allocating tasks and review performance regularly

• Promoting a culture of accuracy, timeliness, and ethical practices

• Working closely with operations, procurement, sales, and HR to ensure financial alignment

• Supporting management with feasibility studies, pricing decisions, and cost-benefit analysis
