Job Context:

∎ Functional Relationship: Programme Director, and other technical and field staff of the Programme.

∎ Work condition: Office based Job- 60% and Field job/travel- 40%
∎ Job Summary: The Gender and Youth Empowerment Expert will lead the inclusion of women and youth in the Programme implementation process. This position will provide strategic guidance and work on to contribute to the women and youth empowerment within the scope of MIPS Programme. S/he will also identify new opportunity and possibilities for the women and youth empowerment by introducing innovative interventions within the scope of project goal and objectives. S/he will also design various guidelines and communication materials related women and youth empowerment within the project scope. S/he will also require to collect necessary information about the stakeholders` recommendations to the Programme and the contextual changes at the ground to support the Programme Director to make the Programme to be adaptive with appropriate activities and implementation strategies in regard to women and youth empowerment.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Mainstreaming gender into MIPS Programme Cycle Management (PCM) and contribute to the THP organizational development process integrating relevant gender perspectives into its various policy and processes.
∎ Integration of women and youth perspectives into the Programme Theory of Change, Results Framework, and M&E.
∎ Design various events and prepare guidelines for these events related to women and youth empowerment within the Programme scope.
∎ Contribute to the quarterly and annual report to be prepared by the project incorporating progress achieved by the Programme in regard to Women and Youth Empowerment.
∎ Manage necessary communication and coordination with the field colleagues for providing them support and guidance in regard to women and youth empowerment effort of the Programme.
∎ Building capacity of the Programme staff and stakeholders on women and youth empowerment in Peace Facilitator Group (PFG), and Peace Ambassadors Network (PAN).
∎ Contribute Programme research and Knowledge Management (KM) efforts incorporating relevant gender and youth empowerment issues.
∎ Manage super functional working relationship with the Programme stakeholders and improve the Programme effectiveness in regard to women and youth empowerment for achieving Programme goal.
∎ Impart field visit for providing necessary guidance to the field staffs for improving quality of the field implementation in regard to women and youth empowerment within the project scopes.
∎ Contribute to prepare presentation, Programme brief and other necessary materials including various communication materials incorporating relevant women and youth empowerment aspects.
∎ Collect stakeholders' recommendations, contextual changes at the ground, learning and best practices in regard to youth and women empowerment and support Programme Director to redesign activity and/ or implementation strategies so that adaptive Programme implementation is in place for maximizing project impact.
∎ Any other tasks as assigned by the line manager for achieving project goal.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Excellent command over in English and Bangla both verbal and written is necessary.
∎ Minimum 5 years' work experiences in the development sector of Bangladesh through National/ international NGOs with particular focus on gender and youth empowerment.
∎ Sound knowledge in political, communal and ethnic violence in Bangladesh.
∎ Solid working experience with the Multi-stakeholder Platforms for governance and reforms.
∎ Good experiences on advocacy and policy influencing work with shared learning and knowledge management
∎ A socially active person having good networking skills
∎ Challenge taker and meet the deadline
∎ Expert level competency with Microsoft word, Excel, Power point, and Outlook
