Job Context:
∎ Project name: Nutrition Sensitive Value Chains for Smallholder Farmers.
∎ This is a 5-years project funded by "The Australian NGO Cooperation Program (ANCP)".
∎ This project aims to improve nutrition of 35,000 smallholder male and female farmers and their households (HHs) in Jamalpur district through adopting a nutrition sensitive agriculture (NSA) approach, it aims to improve nutrition through multiple pathways.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The purpose of this position is to provide leadership in the implementation of Gender, Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change related activities of the Project in the area to achieve project goals through facilitation of sustainable development interventions with high level of community engagement.
∎ Organize and facilitate Gender, disaster management and climate change related training/Orientation/Workshops for MenCare, Upazila and Union Disaster Management Committees.
∎ Form and ensure functioning MenCare Groups, UDMC Committee for improving Gender Equitable Relations among the Target Groups, early warning and disaster mitigation program. Support to form Producer Groups.
∎ Provide technical support to disseminate, Gender mainstreaming and early warning messages at the community level.
∎ Implement Gender Sensitive activities in the field.
∎ Extend supports to Project for community resilience building mainstreaming DRR into programming.
∎ Complies with the humanitarian code of conduct, World Vision International (WVI) DM Standards and can assist Project Manager/Sub district Coordinator and other stakeholders to ensure Gender and DRR knowledge gathering and dissemination to projects.
∎ Identify programming opportunities and identify knowledge and gaps at the Project, in order to support program designs and implementation.
∎ Ensure emergency management system (EMS), development of a response strategy and to assemble emergency response teams.
∎ Develop and maintain links, communications with GOs/NGOs/INGOs, local governmental departments and humanitarian agencies at Upazila level.
∎ Ensure required DRR program monitoring tools and ensure utilization at the field level.
∎ Develop/write quality reports for high level stakeholders.
∎ Ensure that preparedness plans are in place at all levels.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Understands the vision, mission of World Vision.
∎ Understands the Gender, Humanitarian industry, standards and protocols.
∎ Supervision/Management, Problem solving, negotiation, communication and collaborative skills.
∎ Report writing skill in Bengali and English.
∎ 3 years' experience on Grants funded project at Field level with an understanding of Gender, DRR & Climate Change and overall technical support at the project level.
∎ Understands and complies with the humanitarian code of conduct and Disaster Management Standards.
∎ Proven experience as a team player.
∎ Competent in the use of Microsoft Office computer programs including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
∎ 75% field visit in the working area is expected.
∎ Good working relationship with the projects working area.
∎ This role will work directly with the community in respective project.
