Educational Requirements:
∎ Master of Science (MSc)
∎ Master of Science (MSc) in food science/technology, and other related subjects;
∎ Skills Required: Dry foods process.
Experience Requirements:
∎ 2 to 3 year(s)
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
dry food processing.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ As a food technologist, you'll need to:
∎ Modify existing products and processes and generate new product ideas specially from dry fruit and vegetable;
∎ Develop new and improved methods and systems for food processing, production, quality control, packaging, and distribution;
∎ Check and improve safety and quality control procedures in your own and suppliers' factories, from the raw material stage through to the finished product;
∎ Identifying and choosing products from suppliers;
∎ Prepare product costings based on raw materials and manufacturing costs to ensure profitable products;
∎ Liaising with marketing staff;
∎ Research current consumer markets and latest technologies to develop new product concepts;
∎ Run trials of new products and coordinate launches of new products;
∎ Develop food standards, safety and sanitary regulations, and waste management and water supply specifications;
∎ Liaise with technical and commercial colleagues in procurement, sales, technical services and marketing and distribution, and with official food inspection and hygiene agencies ;
∎ Work with engineering and production to develop solutions to production issues, while maintaining food safety;
∎ Study methods to improve quality of foods, such as flavor, color, texture, nutritional value, convenience, or physical, chemical, and microbiological composition of foods.
∎ Monitoring the use of additives in food products;
∎ Develop training materials for local technologist in drying technology for different fruit and vegetables;
∎ Conduct training for local technologists, specialists and enterprises;
∎ Writing reports.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 40 years
∎ Hardworking, proactive, and ability to work under pressure;
∎ Excellent interpersonal and excellent communication skills both oral and written, in Bangla and English;
∎ Good team working abilities;
∎ Ability to work independently;
∎ Meticulous attention to detail, especially with regard to food hygiene and safety;
∎ Strong analytical and numerical skills.
∎ Sound computer skills, good word processing skills in both Bangla and English, good command on the use of spreadsheet (Excel) and MS Power Point;
∎ Ability to work well with management and staff at all levels.
Salary:
∎ Tk. 31500 (Monthly)
∎ `Negotiable`
