The purpose of a Floor Medical Superintendent (FMS) is to ensure that the patients get a satisfactory patient experience during their IP stay in EHD.
To ensure there is complete and holistic management of all admitted patients.
The FMS will ensure and coordinate patient care and patient management 24 hours a day, by managing and coordinating between all relevant services and staff.
The FMS will ensure all patient related activities are completed on time.
Assess the needs of the patient while admitted till discharge
On a daily basis FMS will ensure all clinical and non clinical patient related issues run smoothly and efficiently.
The FMS will ensure complete coordination amongst the care givers of MS /NS / OPS/ Hosp during the stay of the patient is His / Her ward, from the point of admission till the time of discharge.
All care givers in the allocated ward will be reporting to FMS and will look towards him for guidance and assistance to expedite urgency in processes.
The team members in the ward will respect and act proactively on his /her recommendations to ensure patient safety and satisfactory patient experience.
Solutions to problems and crisis’s arising will be addressed by the FMS, specially those requiring urgent escalation to the different departments as per need.
