Job Context:
∎ A 100% 52 line (Woven) RMG Company located at Uttara EPZ Nilphamary is looking for the following personnel for immediate appointment.
∎ We are looking for talented persons with good personality for admin and HR and compliance Department as fire and Safety Officer /Sr. Officer..
∎ Experience in Oven Garments mill work will be highly appreciated.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensure fire safety for the workplace & building
∎ Daily fire equipment check & maintain needful action
∎ Conduct fire drill monthly
∎ Regular/ weekly fire training with fire safety team & general workers.
∎ Report to management in case of any risk
∎ Daily floor visit & ensure to Floor Compliance and follow up the Daily Compliance Check List given by the higher authority of compliance department
∎ To ensure having personal safety equipment's like mask, metal gloves, eye guard, needle guard, pulley cover, goggles, ear plug, gum boot, rubber apron, ear plug for workers are working in machines & chemical stores
∎ Conduct the awareness program on rules and regulation, compliance & welfare issues, health, hygiene & safety; first aid etc.
∎ Conduct all types of Fire & Safety related tasks of a large woven Garments
∎ Ensure all kind of health & safety issue within the law & company policy.
∎ Ensure all equipment is serviced and checked in accordance with current legislation.
∎ Ensure fire safety signage is current and correct as per policy.
∎ Ensure staff are aware of fire policy and how to respond in the event of a fire.
∎ Conduct fire drills in accordance with practice policy.
∎ Ensure the Training and Development Programmed is appropriate to retain staff and to enhance their knowledge and skills and health and safety programs.
∎ Support the HR, Compliance & Welfare team in adopting best HR Practice across the Organization.
∎ Ensure updating all relevant Registers as required by local law and customers Code of conduct.
∎ Follow up & monitor floor monitoring sheet with taking feedback from respective personnel. If required than give instruction for smooth rectification.
∎ Ensure fire safety for the workplace areas as per Accord/Alliance Standard & Guideline. Check of Fire equipment such as Smoke detectors, fire hydrant, fire doors, fire fighting apparatus etc as well as regularly. Conducts regular fire drill. and emergency evacuation drill to aware employees any emergency incident. Identifies probable fire hazard areas and takes preventive measures on urgent basis. Maintain liaison with fire service authority. Prepare all safety standards, policy, reports & documentation regarding fire safety issue including fire evacuation plan and procedure. Maintain & ensure safety in all production area and make sure a free & un-block evacuation for all employees. Train up all workers / staffs / employees on fire safety, protection, fighting and first-aid on demonstration basis to make the mission success. Must have well knowledge on installation and maintenance of Panel Board System, Fire Alarm, Smoke Detector, Addressable and Fire Hydrant system. Monitoring Fire Fighting & rescuer team and to conduct external & internal fire related training. Ensure security aspects of the company and train securities for safe guard of the organization. Regular inspection of fire equipment's and security post and sensitive points of the factory at day & night. Ensure that all fireman, fire fighters and security personnel are in right order and perform their duties as per requirement. Monitor / supervise the electrical/ power cables / loose wires properly and to take remedial measures immediately. Conducts regular fire drill. And emergency evacuation drill to aware employees any emergency incident. Implementation & control of fire safety as per direction of the management. Ensure the total Fire safety of the factories To ensure that all Health & Safety procedures are followed, in accordance with Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI)

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 45 years
∎ Must have sound knowledge of audit requirements as per BSCI, ACCORD & Alliance.
∎ To be active to make solution of CAP found by compliance audit team.
∎ The applicants should have experience in the Knit Garments.
∎ Application should be strong knowledge on firefighting & workplace Safety.
∎ Must demonstrate attitude of integrity, transparency, proactive and positive.
∎ Computer skills could be an added advantage.
