Educational Requirements:
∎ At least have Bachelor degree in Accounting and/or Finance, but MBA in Finance will add value.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 3 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Carry out daily financial transactions and ensure the transactions are properly recorded in BANANA Accounting System/software.
∎ Prepare the vouchers on regular basis and post them in BANANA system.
∎ Prepare budget variance reports with the burn rate, and share it with project manager on monthly basis.
∎ Verify and ensure closing balances of partner organization (MOAS, Prottyashi) in BANANA
∎ Extend support to Cox Bazar based finance team and Finance and Service Manager, when require as well as proxy roles in absence of any finance colleague.
∎ To arrange monthly staff salary payment, arrange /daily/weekly /monthly payments and process vouchers /transaction posting into into BANANA on regular basis.
∎ Assist in procurement process and ensure all compliances including documents of competitive process
∎ Process the vendors payments in timely fashion.
∎ Prepare a bank book on a regular basis. Assist partners to produce monthly and produce financial report for HELVETAS Country Office with monthly bank reconciliation.
∎ Ensure compliance i.e. Tax & VAT in procurement of goods and services, NGOAB, Donor, External Audits.
∎ Support project team in exchanging knowledge and learning and take lead for experience capitalization of project.
∎ Support Regional Finance and Service Manager in preparing FD-7, FD-6, FD-3, FD-2, etc as per NGAOB requirements for running project and new project.
∎ Prepare VAT and TAX statements on monthly basis and deposit withholding tax 7 VAT to the government exchequer.
∎ Support to Dhaka office for timely submission of monthly Tax and VAT return.
∎ Prepare/produce audit prove vouchers and documents and facilitate the auditor.
∎ Oversee the inventory report of project including partner on monthly /quarterly basis.
∎ Support to Admin & HR Officer in administrative function if necessary.
Additional Requirements:
∎ 3 -5 years of working experience in development sector at Local and/or International NGOs.
∎ Knowledge of modern accounting methods, including electronic book keeping, auditing, program budget planning, procurement, and logistics.
∎ Experience of office administration will be added value for the position.
∎ Have knowledge on related government policies and code of conduct.
∎ Excel, word, power point and financial management software.
∎ Working experience in Cox’s Bazar will be an advantage.
∎ Fluent in English, Bengali native speaker, Chittagonian desirable.
∎ Honest, professional and multi-tasking skill.
∎ Willing to visit field.
Salary:
∎ We will offer the candidate a very competitive salary (within the range BDT.80K to BDT.90K) based on the length of relevant experiences.
The salary offer will includes Monthly Gross, Festival bonus, PF, Gratuity, Medical and Life Insurance.
The initial employment contract would be for 12 months with possibility of extensions.
