Educational Requirements:
∎ Chartered Accountant / Cost Accountant or Masters in Accounting with 4-5 years of experience.
∎ Results Oriented - Meet deadlines on assignments, juggle multiple demands and to work with various functional teams and the CEO of the business.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Financial accounting - Maintain timely and accurate accounts in Odoo providing current status of the business.
∎ Reporting - prepare and review all the accounting and financial reports to be shared with Managing Director, Business review with the Board and external agencies if any. This includes monthly MIS pack, business review pack, audit pack at designated time intervals. Review these reports with Co-founders and ensure accuracy.
∎ Work with Managing Director and Co-founders for structuring and implementing the Business Intelligence report.
∎ Ensure that all statutory requirements of the organization are met including tax, audit, and statutory compliance for Singapore and UAE entities.
∎ Using the "Zero-Based" approach & provide necessary inputs to Co-founders for finalising the budgets, financial forecasts.
∎ Review of sales order status, margin analysis, costing, and related issues.
∎ Co-ordinate with internal audit teams and keep the audit status current by implementing all the agreed recommendations.
∎ Co-ordinate with Statutory auditors in Singapore, UAE, and India for quarterly and yearly audits of these entities.
∎ Understand the business risks and along with the Co-founders & provide necessary information to mitigate the risks- inventory, credit, forex, financial & operational risks. Co-ordinate on various matters relating to insurance, currency hedges etc.
∎ Lead a 4 member team in future based in Bangladesh to manage
∎ Financial accounts in Odoo / other ERP systems.
∎ Review financial ledgers, reconcile accounts (bank, intercompany, taxes, suppliers, customers etc).
∎ To close the accounts on a monthly basis to prepare all financial reports to meet internal and external requirements.
∎ Preparation of initial reports for effective management of cash flows
∎ Prevent inaccuracies in financial statements by setting up internal control systems and adopting proper policies for reporting.
∎ Review financial data periodically to ensure accuracy and completeness.
∎ Manage other functions such as HR, IT, Shipping, Legal & Compliance etc in accordance with the group policy.
∎ Monitoring Shipping & Commercial team in Bangladesh and ensure accuracy of documentation and timely submission with Banks and Customers
∎ Handling of LC documentations including coordination with Banks, factories and customers
∎ Banking payments includes supplier payments, factory payments.
∎ Effective management of customers receivables
∎ Reporting of Exceptions (Claims, Air Freight etc) to Managing Director and Co-founders.
∎ Co-ordinate with Odoo/IT team for any business requirement.
∎ Should be familiar with understanding of commercial agreements with suppliers, customers etc
∎ Review periodically receivables, payables, advances etc and do a check of balance sheet to ensure closure of all pending issues and accounting for costs / provisions there on. & overtime sheet check.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Good Knowledge of Agricultural commodities and the Import-Export industry.
∎ Working experience in maintaining accounts on Odoo & other integrated ERP systems.
∎ Good working knowledge in MS office - excel, word, power point etc.
∎ Very good written and oral communication skills.
∎ Strong analytical, problem solving and co-ordination skills to evaluate alternatives and provide recommendations on business issues
∎ Ability to work in a team environment.
Salary:
∎ For Position based in Dhaka - Fixed and Variable pay - CTC BDT 7-8 lacs per annum (Negotiable).
There would be some travel both local and international.
