Job Context:
∎ The Fresh Food Corners/Market Linkage project aims to continue to strengthen and localize fresh food supply chain through the development of a unique value-based market system, by linking WFP-contracted retailers to producers in the Cox`s Bazar district. The hereby proposed project intervention aims to:
∎ 1. Improve dietary diversity amongst the most vulnerable refugee households via direct access to fresh food items including eggs, live fish and chicken.
∎ 2. Improve market linkages between refugees and host communities
∎ The purpose of the position is to follow-up day to day field activities, responsible to mobilize the selected AC, ACMC and producer groups with the identified target area, link FFC outlets inside the camp as well as e-voucher outlets and ensure Fresh Food supply in a timely manner. Seeking technical support from project Assistant-technical as well as the field coordinator for smooth field operation. Each person will look after or assign a minimum of 02 AC and ensure AC priorities to address timely. This position will assist in project planning, budget preparation, training & workshops facilitation; preparing all reports and documents properly in time and all other required activities to ensure smooth operations of the project. Also, support to the field assistant for weekly market price collection and data input to the Kobo/excel software and market assessment/survey activities.
∎ The FO will closely work with the ACMC and FFC retailers by establishing appropriate linkage & networks, and fulfill the monthly target fresh food supply to the FFC retails points successfully
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Day to Day follow up of fresh foods product mapping activities and regular sharing & update with FFC retailers point-person/manager for day to day transaction plan
∎ Ensure fresh produces supply/transaction as per plan and prepare daily transaction report
∎ Collect regular basis local markets supply and demand situation and analysis/mapping
∎ Build capacity for ACMC and support producers groups to work under/with AC.
∎ Orient targeted producer groups and ACs on Farm to Go application and use it properly.
∎ Identify and establish linkages with ACs and producer groups as well as target transaction to FFC
∎ Functional market management committee, ACMC and BMO
∎ AC and Producer group mobilization and learning exchange programs, TOT, discussion sessions with other producer groups, Zero Energy Cooling Chamber (ZECC) introduce for open-up low cost storage facilities for farmer/traders, etc.
∎ Visit AC and Producer groups and ensure coaching, mentoring support to increase production and sales; additionally, organize and facilitate monthly meeting.
∎ Strengthen relationship with other partners.
∎ Support for Planning, motoring & budgeting as per project design
∎ Contribute to reporting to WVB management and donor/s as per requirements
∎ Capacity building initiative for field assistant and ACMC.
∎ Perform other duties as may be assigned by the WVB management
∎ Program Implementation for assigned working area
∎ Capacity Building of Aggregation Center Management Committees (ACMC), Producer group members, and other support staff Members
∎ Linkages and Networking with ACMC and FFC
∎ Reflection & learning of supply/transaction information
∎ Professional and personal development
Additional Requirements:
∎ Must have knowledge and skills of project implementation
∎ Ability to drive motorbike with valid driving license
∎ Ability to work in different target groups
∎ Oral and written communication skills in English and Bengali
∎ Ability to work in a team
∎ Work under pressure and can take additional responsibilities
∎ Basic computer literacy using of Microsoft Office Microsoft Word, Excel & MS Power Point
∎ Partners support working experience
∎ People management experience.
∎ Able to create a working environment where team members have equal rights to listen, speak up and contribute to achieve a common goal of the project
