Experience:

Job Context:
Center for Natural Resource Studies (CNRS) is going to implement Transforming Lives Through Nutrition project with support from Helen Keller Intl. The goal of the Transforming Lives Through Nutrition initiative is to improve maternal and child health, through the delivery of proven nutrition interventions and to strengthen health and food systems at scale by putting women and children at the center.
Job Summary: The Field Facilitator will be responsible for the overall implementation of the project activities in the assigned Upazila/Union as per plan. Under the guidance of the Project Officer, s/he will work closely with government health and family planning service providers, frontline supervisors, and Community Nutrition Volunteers (CNV) for timely and quality implementation of planned activities.
Job Description / Key Responsibilities
Prepare community maps using participatory methods to identify key union-level stakeholders from Health, Family Planning, DAE, DLS, and Local Government; and maintain strong working relationships with them to facilitate and accelerate project implementation
Mobilize community members on health, nutrition, and hygiene practices, especially targeting mothers, caregivers, and children.
Supervise CNVs according to the supervision plan, ensuring their effective implementation of Mass MUAC screenings, courtyard sessions, cooking demonstrations, and household visits, and regularly present key field findings in monthly coordination meetings
Monitor the regular target vs achievement, attendance and engagement of beneficiaries in nutrition activities.
Facilitate the community referral system to ensure the admission of identified SAM children to the SAM unit of UHC or district hospital. Collect and maintain accurate field data and documentation as per MEAL plan and DQA standard, including beneficiary tracking and session reports.
Submit weekly/monthly SAM-MAM tracker, reports to the supervisor in the prescribed format.
Ensure that gender, child protection, and safeguarding principles are upheld in all field activities.
Assist with other project-related tasks as assigned by the supervisor or project team.
Ensure proper maintenance and documentation of volunteers` work schedules or micro plan, timesheets, leave, and payments.
Facilitate field visits conducted by any CNRS, Helen Keller Intl. team or donor.
Support data collection (Paper-based and online) as per project need.
Lead the beneficiary selection process including lead farmers & group formation in collaboration with relevant key stakeholders (Health, family planning, DAE and local government)
Collect household-level information such as births, deaths, and migrations, and update the SAM-MAM tracker on project specific interval
As per the project guidelines, conduct a training session for selected project participants including lead farmers on nutrition sensitive climate smart agriculture and poultry rearing with the support of DAE and DLS officials
Provide technical support to homestead gardening and poultry rearing participants to improve their practices and maximization of production
Capture and share the case stories, best practices and lesson learned in the monthly coordination meeting
