Job Context:
∎ ASOD is a reputed non-government national organization in Bangladesh working since 1985 and engaged in transforming the lives of community people significantly in selected areas of the country. The existence of ASOD was based on building upon active and spontaneous participation of the extreme poor, ensuring gender equality, social justice, disaster, productive and sustainable development and protection of the rights of the underprivileged by building a society free from all sorts of exploitation. The organization has implementing multi dimensional programs like, agriculture, livestock, women and child rights, livelihood, disaster, health and nutrition, Water & Sanitation, non formal education, resources mobilization, market development.
∎ With support from Concern Worldwide and funded by Zurich Foundation through Zurich Flood Resilience Project (ZFRP), ASOD is going to Implement `Flood Resilience Project` at Lalmonirhat and Gaibandha district. So therefore ASOD is looking for suitable candidate for the following position:
∎ Project Name:Flood Resilience Project
∎ Job Location: Lalmonirhat & Gaibandha district
∎ Types of contract: Fixed terms
∎ Project Duration: 3 years
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Field Facilitator is responsible for proper implementation of project activities at field level, reporting to the Field Officer, s/he will identify needs of the project beneficiaries and address the needs; engage in selection of project beneficiaries, forming and capacity building of group and Apex body/CBOs and deliver project support to the target beneficiaries. S/he will engage in developing producers' group, backward and forward market linkages, assets and income generation and social cohesion of the project beneficiaries. S/he also responsible for make bridging between beneficiaries and different service providers.
∎ PROGRAMME DEVELOPMENT AND MANAGEMENT:
∎ Skill on participatory training approach
∎ Knowledge on participatory learning approach
∎ Facilitate community sessions on DRR/social and interact with beneficiaries on DRR issues and preparedness.
∎ Facilitate reactivate of project related different types union standing committees
∎ Skill on apply to PRA different methodand carry out door step survey to identify eligible beneficiaries.
∎ Formed community based organization and provide capacity building support
∎ Prepare community risk and vulnerability plan
∎ Maintain day to day contact and liaison with GOB/NGO, standing committees and as well as Field Officer, PMand other project staffs.
∎ Establish linkage with different service providers and beneficiaries
∎ Assist to the PM, FO to implement the project activities effectively as per project goal and objectives.
∎ Carryout any other assignments given by the Project Manager for the greater interest of the project implementation.
∎ Establish early warning system
∎ Ability to Conduct Training Need assessment & Different Survey
∎ Collects feedback from beneficiaries and stakeholders for necessary program improvement.
∎ RELATIONSHIPS
∎ S/he will report to Field Officer.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 3 years' professional experience in relevant field.
∎ Technical:
∎ Experienced in conduct training& session on different issue at group level, Capacity building of SHG and CBO, Documentation and have proven knowledge on disaster and livelihood development program.
∎ General:
∎ Dynamic, hardworking and have good interpersonal relationship and ability to work in a team, Experienced in liaison and collaborating with the GO/NGO and different stakeholders.
Salary:
∎ 19,500.00 (with other project benefits)
