Job Context:
∎ ASOD is a reputed non-government national organization in Bangladesh working since 1985 and engaged in transforming the lives of community people significantly in selected areas of the country. The existence of ASOD was based on building upon active and spontaneous participation of the extreme poor, ensuring gender equality, social justice, disaster preparedness, productive and sustainable development and protection of the rights of the underprivileged by building a society free from all sorts of exploitation. The organization has implementing multi-dimensional programs like, agriculture, livestock, women empowerment, livelihood, disaster, health and nutrition, Water & Sanitation, non-formal education, resources mobilization, market development,etc.
∎ With the support from Concern Worldwide and funded by ECHO, ASOD is going to implement a project named `Inclusive emergency support to the most affected population of the 2020 monsoon floods in Kurigram and Gaibandha in North-Western BANGLDESH` project in Saghata Upazila of Gaibandha District. The project aims to strengthen the case for recovery the flood lose and damaged in targeted areas. Project will work with local government DMCs and affected communities to implement Food Security and WASH to address the health, hygiene, economical and physical issues for the affected communities.

∎ Job Location: Saghata Upazilla of Gaibandha District.

∎ Project Duration: 05 months
∎ Job Summary: The responsibility of this position is to manage overall activities and achieve set goals of the project in order to implement the "Inclusive emergency support to the most affected population of the 2020 monsoon floods in Kurigram and Gaibandha in North-Western BANGLDESH" project. S/he will be responsible for ensuring effective and efficient implementation of the Flood emergency response project operation (both quantitative and qualitative) to bring sustainable and systemic changes of flood victims, he/she will keep in close contact with all relevant stake holders in catchment areas. The main responsibilities of the Project Manager is to assist different level of staff to implement the project intervention by addressing issues of unpaid care/ work, promote gender, prepare action plan; reporting, and event management. Keep liaison, networking and advocacy with different GOB& NGOs in terms of share project goal, objectives and output results and conversation and build common ownership.
∎ Relationships: S/he will report to Program Coordinator/Chief Executive.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensuring effective coordination, joint implementation and monitoring of planned activities towards achieving the project objectives.
∎ Ensuring the report is prepared in line with donor's requirement and submitted to the ASOD and Concern Worldwide in a timely manner.
∎ Ensure the financial and human resources are used properly by the implementing and maintained proper authentic documents as per expectation of donor and Govt. of Bangladesh.
∎ Ensuring the procurement committee is functional and completes all procurement as per the ASOD and Concern guidelines.
∎ Facilitate staff to form local level alliances and network to solve any foreseen issues with united efforts.
∎ Enabling a friendly collaborative working culture within the team, actively sharing information and knowledge to enable the team to ensure effective support to the Staff
∎ Ensuring the coordination and communication with DC, UNO, local govt (formal), ASOD management, Concern and other stakeholders in advance by sharing detail plan.
∎ Monitoring and reviewing performance and, in particular, holding staff accountable for meeting the success criteria and delivering any improvement goals which have been identified; giving corrective feedback where required and taking decisive action in the case of poor performance.
∎ Promote and ensure compliance with the requirements of ASOD's Code of Conduct and associates with Concern safeguarding policies and Core Humanitarian Standards of Accountability (CHS) to ensure maximum protection to programme participants, and to welcome feedback.
∎ Undertake other related duties as may reasonably be assigned by the ASOD or the line manager.
∎ Ensure that the Complaint Response Mechanism is established within the project and remain functional throughout the Project Cycle Management (PCM).
∎ Prepare monthly plan and exclusive report for ASOD, Donor and Govt. Stakeholder
∎ Ensure Covid-19 safeguarding policy for Staff, Beneficiaries and all relevant stakeholders.

∎ Minimum 5 years' professional experience in relevant field.

Salary:
∎ Gross Salary BDT: 50000.00 (Fifty thousand)
