Educational Requirements:
∎ Master’s degree in Social science, Economic and any agricultural discipline with professional background in agriculture, food security, economic development, business management, marketing, and other relevant development fields.

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 5 year(s)

Job Context:
∎ The Fresh Food Corners/Market Linkage project aims to continue to strengthen and localize fresh food supply chain through the development of a unique value-based market system, by linking WFP-contracted retailers to producers in the Cox’s Bazar district. The hereby proposed project intervention aims to:
∎ 1. Improve dietary diversity amongst the most vulnerable refugee households via direct access to fresh food items including eggs, live fish and chicken.
∎ 2. Improve market linkages between refugees and host communities
∎ This position will look after the entire field program, filed implementation, coordination, communication with different stakeholders of all field level. The position will be responsible for set the field program and maintain filed liaison with different implementing partners. Timely ensure all the target activities, prepare activity budget and support activity implementation. All the activities will do under the supervision of PC. Documented all the supply transaction, monitor the demand & supply short fall and matchmaking with ACMC & FFC retailers. Capture and share good practices, innovative activities with others, participates different filed meeting, training and complete filed report. Also implement the project activities in team approaches with Project Assistant-Technical and MEAL officer

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assist the project field team for project implementation in accordance with the standards and requirements of WV and the donor (WFP) requirements
∎ Support to prepare and Implement the DIP and coordinate with field team regarding the project implementation
∎ Assist capacity development for Aggregation Centre Management Committees on establish technology demonstration/innovation for Producers/Retailers through introducing of Zero Energy cooling chambers (ZECC) with the use of farmer friendly-easy & low cost storage facilities.
∎ Assist to conduct regular Market Monitoring both from the wholesale and retail market and also conducted market assessment.
∎ Assist to identify new Farmers Groups/AC and support to work under/with the ACs
∎ Assist to organize daily transaction activities and its monitoring at AC and FFC level.
∎ Assist to organize matchmaking/product negotiation event with FFC and ACMC
∎ Support to develop partnership with government and delivery channel to reduce costs for achieving competitive prices, etc.
∎ Assist regarding the project implementation, and establish network with local government and any other agencies to promote sustainability and ownership of interventions in implementation.
∎ Assist to organize learning experience event and capture lesson leant for smooth implementation of the project
∎ Organize coordinated events; meeting, training etc i.e. take overall lead in the coordination of field level activities and capacity building initiatives.
∎ Represent WVB in district/Upazila level in absence of Project Coordinator.
∎ Develop annual program/project implementation plans with budget execution plans, update quarterly in collaboration with key departments and external stakeholders, and oversee implementation to high standards by scope and timelines.
∎ Prepare and submission of reports (monthly, quarterly, annual, ending etc.) in line with WFP’s timeline and requirements.
∎ Ensure project is operational by technical standards and operational viability
∎ Ensure external Engagement and internal coordination
∎ Ensure proper office Administration Management through effective administrative functions
∎ Staff management and capacity building

Additional Requirements:
∎ Understand fresh food corners / farmers market concept and linkage.
∎ Strong understanding of Aggregation Centres and Producer Group.
∎ Skills to develop capacity building tools and knowledge on Farmers Market
∎ Motorbike driving skill
∎ Knowledge on WFP program management
∎ Good time management and organizing skills
∎ Proven experience as a team player
∎ Demonstrated collaboration skills
∎ Excellent Computer skills in MS office, and use of gadgets
∎ The position is field based position and requires field visits up to 70%.
∎ The position requires the holder to be able to work effectively and efficiently unsupervised and plan and manage time effectively.
∎ The holder must exercise a strong work ethic and take responsibility for his/her own actions.
