Job Responsibilities:
∎ Field Strategy: support Head of Field Operations in the development of an innovative and effective strategy to cement iFarmer presence in the field
∎ Growth and spread: Grow iFarmer farmers network, product and service offerings to the farmers and other stakeholders primarily input retailers, buyers and traders.
∎ Team Building: build, mentor and coach a strong Field Facilitators network on the ground
∎ Business Development: analyze market trends and business opportunities in the field level and keep the rest of the team up to date on these opportunities and market trends.
Additional Requirements:
∎ xperience of working directly with small-scale farmers and the farming community (possibly in private sector/Microfinance/NGO)
∎ Experience in managing people
∎ Knowledge of marketing channels and techniques within rural, agricultural settings
∎ Experience in planning and executing projects and activities
∎ Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
∎ Comfortable working hard in a startup environment. Part of that would require someone resourceful and flexible, who is able to adapt to various circumstances and help make the most of any situation
∎ Interest in Technology and good computer skills
∎ Valid motorcycle license and willingness to drive a motorcycle.
∎ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
∎ B2C or B2B sales experience would be a preferred
