Job Context:
∎ The Fresh Food Corners/Market Linkage project aims to continue to strengthen and localize fresh food supply chain through the development of a unique value-based market system, by linking WFP-contracted retailers to producers in the Cox’s Bazar district. The hereby proposed project intervention aims to:
∎ 1. Improve dietary diversity amongst the most vulnerable refugee households via direct access to fresh food items including eggs, live fish and chicken.
∎ 2. Improve market linkages between refugees and host communities
∎ The purpose of the position is to implement day to day field activities as per daily plan. Full time engagement as project staff higher from local community experience persons. This position will support the AC day to day transaction, support to ensure their supply at FFC level and arranges facilities of transportation form authorities. Involve day to day market survey activities both the inside camp or outside market. Also responsible for weekly market price collection and data input to the Kobo/excel software and market assessment/survey activities.
∎ The FA will closely work with the ACMC/FFC retailers and MEAL officer & FOs by establishing appropriate linkage & networks, and fulfill the monthly target fresh food supply to the FFC retails points successfully
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Prepare and arrange product mapping meeting and collect information from AC’s fresh products volume and transaction target setting mechanism
∎ Support to ensure fresh produces supply/transaction as per plan and prepare daily transaction report
∎ Collect regular basis local markets supply and demand situation and analysis/mapping
∎ Support to ACs/producer groups on Farm to Go application uses properly.
∎ Identify and establish linkages with ACs and producer groups as well as target transaction to FFC
∎ Conduct price collection event and collect wholesale and retail market price of fresh items as per WFP weekly price setting tools
∎ AC and Producer group mobilization and learning exchange programs, TOT, discussion sessions with other producer groups, Zero Energy Cooling Chamber (ZECC) introduce for open-up low cost storage facilities for farmer/traders, etc.
∎ Conduct regular visit with AC and Producer groups and ensure coaching, mentoring support to increase production and sales;
∎ Prepare monthly achievement/progress report and share
∎ Conduct monthly and weekly as well as regular event for ACMC and FFC.
∎ Perform other duties as may be assigned by the WVB project management
∎ Program Implementation for assigned working area
∎ Capacity Building of Aggregation Center Management Committees (ACMC), Producer group members, and other support staff Members
∎ Linkages and Networking with ACMC and FFC
∎ Reflection & learning of supply/transaction information
Additional Requirements:
∎ Must have knowledge and skills of project implementation
∎ Ability to drive motorbike with valid driving license
∎ Ability to work in different target groups
∎ Oral and written communication skills in English and Bengali
∎ Ability to work in a team
∎ Work under pressure and can take additional responsibilities
∎ Basic computer literacy using of Microsoft Office Microsoft Word, Excel & MS Power Point
∎ Partners support working experience
∎ People management experience.
∎ Able to create a working environment where team members have equal rights to listen, speak up and contribute to achieve a common goal of the project
