Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Attend a 14-day randomized controlled trial (RCT) training on intervention delivery.
∎ Participate in monthly refresher trainings to ensure up-to-date knowledge of study protocols and procedures.
∎ Conduct household-based interventions during the morning and evening hours, including weekends (Saturdays and Fridays).
∎ Distribute hardware and software and set them up within intervention households.
∎ Deliver public talks and presentations, motivating community members to participate in the study and interventions.
∎ Enter collected data into the study database accurately and on time.
∎ Ensure all paper forms are transcribed and entered into the database within one week of data collection, with the support of Research Officers.
∎ Maintain intervention supplies and equipment at the office.
∎ Oversee the maintenance of devices and other tools used in the study.
∎ Screen and recruit suspected cholera cases at health facilities.
∎ Conduct stool testing for cholera using the rapid VC Dipstick test.
∎ Enroll eligible diarrhea and cholera patients in the control arm of the study.
∎ Administer baseline study questionnaires to participants.
∎ Test water samples for chlorine concentrations in line with study protocols.
∎ Attend weekly field team meetings with the evaluation and intervention teams.
∎ Participate in weekly meetings with the intervention team.
∎ Transcribe and translate in-depth interviews and focus group discussions as needed.
∎ Assist with other aspects of the pilot and intervention studies as directed by the Intervention Coordinator or Principal Investigator.
∎ This position will require early morning and late evening work, including on Saturdays and Fridays.
∎ RTM International is going to appoint a number of skilled professionals for the study titled “A Ring Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene Intervention to Reduce Cholera in Hotspots in Bangladesh (Urban Model)”. The required qualification and experiences for the position.
∎ Job Location: Dhaka, Bangladesh (with travel to urban field sites and Manikganj field sites).
