• Must have practical working experience in a reputed retail fashion store or established fashion retail brand in Bangladesh.

• Strong creative ability, fashion sense and understanding of current ethnic and western fashion trends.

• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple design projects within deadlines.

• Creative mindset with the ability to translate market trends and customer insights into appealing fashion collections.

Position Purpose

To develop innovative and trend-focused fashion collections for Hoor Couture Ltd., covering both Ethnic Wear and Western Wear. The role is responsible for researching fashion trends, developing design concepts, selecting fabrics, colors and accessories, preparing design sketches and technical specifications, coordinating with merchandising and production teams and ensuring that the final products meet the brand’s quality standards, design aesthetics and target customer preferences. The position requires a creative minded professional with hands-on experience in the fashion retail industry in Bangladesh.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop creative and market-oriented designs for both Ethnic Wear and Western Wear in line with the brand's identity, target customers and seasonal fashion trends.

• Conduct market research and analyze current fashion trends, customer preferences, competitor collections, colors, fabrics, silhouettes and embellishment techniques.

• Design and develop collections for ethnic outfits, including sarees, salwar kameez, kurtis, three-piece sets, fusion wear and other traditional or contemporary ethnic apparel.

• Create designs for Western Wear, including dresses, tops, shirts, trousers, skirts, co-ord sets, jumpsuits and other contemporary fashion apparel.

• Prepare hand-drawn sketches, digital illustrations, mood boards, color boards, design concepts and detailed technical specifications for new collections.

• Select suitable fabrics, trims, accessories, colors, prints, embroidery, embellishments and surface ornamentation techniques based on design requirements and product costing.

• Develop seasonal collections for festivals, occasions, casual wear, formal wear and other customer segments relevant to the brand.

• Coordinate with merchandising, pattern-making, sampling and production teams to translate design concepts into finished garments.

• Review prototypes, samples, fittings and garment construction to ensure design accuracy, proper fit, comfort, finishing and overall product quality.

• Provide clear technical instructions, measurements, fabric details, stitching specifications and finishing requirements to relevant teams.

• Work closely with merchandising and sourcing teams to identify suitable fabrics, accessories, trims and embellishment materials within approved budgets.

• Maintain consistency in design aesthetics, quality standards and brand positioning across all collections.

• Collaborate with the marketing and retail teams to develop collections that support promotional campaigns, seasonal launches and in-store merchandising requirements.

• Maintain an organized archive of design sketches, artwork, fabric swatches, sample references, technical sheets and collection details.

• Stay updated on local and international fashion trends, emerging designers, innovative materials and new garment construction techniques.

• Perform any other assignment as directed by management.
