Job Context:
∎ Project Description:Land O`Lakes Venture37 (Venture37) implements the Farmer-to-Farmer Food Safety and Quality (F2F FSQ) project in Bangladesh. The project provides technical assistance support to decrease foodborne illness and increase profitability in the agriculture sectors helping businesses improve the quality and safety of their products. In addition, F2F FSQ offers technical assistance support to other USG and donor-funded agricultural development programs. The project started in 2018 and will conclude in November 2023.
∎ Leveraging the expertise of Land O`Lakes, Inc, a large Fortune 250 cooperative, Venture37 relies on specialist volunteer advisors, including but not limited to Land O`Lakes employees, cooperative members and their networks for up-to-date industry knowledge and experience in FSQ to improve food safety and quality practices in the host countries that will enhance their agricultural economies. These experts contribute to F2F FSQ by volunteering on F2F assignments as well as providing background, insights and resources to enhance program effectiveness.
∎ Position Summary:
∎ The Farmer-to-Farmer Food Safety and Quality Technical Lead will lead the project efforts related to food safety and quality assurance activities. The Technical Lead will implement the F2F FSQ program strategy that introduces businesses to the Global Food Safety Initiative`s Global Markets Programme and will develop and implement a detailed workplan to achieve the objectives and outcomes of the program to improve food safety and food quality in Bangladesh.
∎ The F2F FSQ Technical Lead will assess the food safety and quality needs of partner businesses, developing an acceleration plan for the business to implement process or facility improvements and an action plan for provision of technical assistance. Based on the plans, the F2F FSQ Technical Lead will write detailed scopes of work to be used to match with an international volunteer experts who may work remotely or who will be fielded to Bangladesh to share his/her expertise with the partner business. The Technical Lead will also promote and coordinate opportunities to support other USG and donor-funded programs working to improve food and agriculture systems, and will develop and lead efforts to communicate about the USAID F2F FSQ program and disseminate learning and knowledge about food safety and quality. This position is based in Dhaka, Bangladesh and will require frequent travel within the country to meet with businesses and stakeholders.
∎ Reporting & Supervision:
∎ The F2F FSQ Technical Lead reports to the F2F Chief of Party based in the U.S. and will work closely with the F2F FSQ Field Coordinator. Coordination, guidance, and supervision will be provided on a day-to-day basis by the Land O`Lakes Venture37 Country Director.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensure that volunteer technical assistance assignments are designed and executed well, providing clear and concise scopes of work, acceleration plans, and summary reports of the results of each assignment.
∎ Complete an assessment of partner businesses' food safety and quality gaps. Work closely with the partner business to plan and coordinate technical assistance to meet their needs, and follow-up regularly to monitor progress and/or to help businesses troubleshoot through challenges and facilitate their progress.
∎ Identify, plan and coordinate support to other USAID and other donor funded project needs in and outside of food safety and quality.
∎ Accompany and support volunteer advisors during implementation of in-person or remote technical assistance assignments, making logistical arrangement and ensuring that assignments are creatively and professionally delivered.
∎ Assist Venture37 to communicate about the F2F FSQ program activities to USAID Bangladesh and support the efforts to design or market new opportunities to expand the program.
∎ Contribute to written deliverables, including semi-annual reports, success stories, and workplans.
∎ Network and build synergies with other donor-funded projects, the Bangladesh Food Safety Authority, and with stakeholders in the food and agriculture industries. Identify and implement activities to disseminate learnings about the program and food safety and quality best practices.
∎ As necessary complete administrative and project management tasks including logistics for volunteers, planning trainings or events, and procuring supplies and services.
∎ Collaborate closely with other Venture37 projects in the country and with F2F FSQ program staff in Egypt and Lebanon.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Local candidates with the minimum qualifications are strongly encouraged to apply:
∎ Minimum of 7 years of professional experience related to food safety and quality, quality assurance, food processing or manufacturing, or related field.
∎ Experience collaborating with stakeholders across the food and agribusiness industries, Government of Bangladesh regulatory and promotional agencies.
∎ Knowledge of food safety certification schemes and requirements.
∎ Experience in, or exposure to, similar donor-funded development programs is desirable.
∎ Proven ability to produce clear and concise written documents. Experience drafting scopes of work for technical advisors and communications pieces is an advantage.
∎ Experience with planning and facilitating meetings and/or trainings is an advantage.
∎ Fluency in English and Bangla languages. And excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills.
∎ Demonstrated, proven competency in time management and multitasking
