faith Bangladesh has been working relentlessly with children with special needs and their families through therapeutic, educational, and awareness-based interventions. Over time, it became evident that oral health is a neglected yet critical area for these children. Many children with autism, intellectual disabilities, and developmental delays face unique challenges in maintaining dental hygiene due to sensory issues, communication barriers, and behavioral concerns.

Parents often struggle to find dental care that is understanding and equipped to handle the needs of their children. Routine dental visits can be overwhelming for both the child and the family if not managed by trained professionals in an inclusive environment.

To address this urgent need, faith Bangladesh is launching its Dental Unit—a safe, sensitive, and inclusive dental care service where special needs children, their siblings, and families can receive compassionate and professional dental treatment.

This new unit is a natural extension of our mission: to ensure holistic care for children with special needs, improve their quality of life, and support their families with comprehensive services under one roof.

Here is the Responsibilities of our new team member-

• Provide routine dental checkups, procedures (scaling, fillings, extraction, etc.)

• Counsel patients and guide parents on oral hygiene, especially for children with autism, developmental delays, and other neurodivergent conditions

• Ensure comfort and confidence for families and siblings of special needs children

• Maintain records and coordinate care with therapy and special education teams

• Contribute to dental awareness programs
