Responsibilities & Context:
Writing and updating the In-Bond and Ex-Bond registers to log every raw material entry and exit.
Export & Import entry into bond register with working sub-contract, Bond to Bond machineries transfer and Bond related activities.
Responsible for Bond License renewal, Customs Audit and related issues with Customs Bond.
Acting as the main point of contact for BEPZA officials, Customs Bond Commissionerate, and the National Board of Revenue (NBR).
Facing and managing mandatory yearly customs and bond audits by preparing predictable consumption statements and reconciliation sheets.
Coordinating daily with Clearing & Forwarding (C&F) agents, freight forwarders, and
shipping lines to clear port blockages.
Ensuring correct Harmonized System (HS) codes are assigned to materials to avoid tariff classification issues.
Include all Machinery and new raw material whenever imported.
Prepare PRC and Follow up Bank related work for customs bond audit.
Obtain/renewal of all licenses (e.g. BGMEA, BKMEA, Trade License, Factory License, TIN and Fire License) and all other related licenses from authority.
To maintain a strong liaison with the Customs office and other government bodies for smooth running of the group.
Reconciling physical warehouse inventory with the 'CBMS' system and customs books.
