Job Context:
∎ Protibondhi Community Center (PCC) is a non-government organization register with the NGO Affairs Bureau, Government of peoples Republic of Bangladesh under the Foreign Donations (Voluntary Activities) Regulation Act, 2016 registration no. 2349 dated: 11.05.2008. It is also registered with the Social Welfare Department, Government of Bangladesh vide registration no. MA-01100 dated 02.12.1999. Protibondhi Community Center (PCC) has been working in Mymensingh, Netrakona and Bhola District of Bangladesh and main office is situated at Nathpara, Raghobpur, Shambhugonj, Mymensingh. It established 16 March 1997.
∎ Protibondhi Community Centre (PCC) is seeking applications from eligible and deserving Bangladeshi candidates to fill up the Executive Director position based in Mymensingh.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ The role of the Executive Director is to lead the organization to meet its strategic goals. Executive Director is responsible for leading the overall planning, implementation, supervision, monitoring, and evaluation of the organizational activities.
∎ Executive Director will play a vital role as Ex-Officio Secretary of the Executive Board of the organization.
∎ This position will execute all decisions on behalf of the Board and accomplish all responsibilities of the organization as per the decision of the Board and following organizational policies.
∎ S/he will take initiatives to develop necessary policies and strategic planning of the organization. S/he will be responsible to keep liaison with donors and GO-NGO high officials in-country and in abroad.
∎ This position is reportable to the Chairman of the Executive Board.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 50 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Age: At most 50 years, but for experienced persons, age may be flexible.
∎ Minimum 10 years of experience in national/ international development organizations in senior management positions, preferably similar position.
∎ Working experience with People with Disabilities will be given advantage.
∎ Capable of resource mobilization and identifying new funding opportunities.
∎ Demonstrated experience in designing/writing project proposals and developing budgets and strategic planning of organization.
∎ Demonstrated experiences in communicating with donors/donor agencies and high officials of GO-NGOs.
∎ Demonstrated experience in managing donor projects and understanding of donor compliance issues,
∎ Demonstrated experience of team management, including recruitment and on-the-job coaching.
∎ Experience of working with and supporting local partners, as well as managing directly implemented programs.
∎ Excellent written and spoken skills both in English and Bengali.
∎ Excellent operating skills over MS Office.
∎ Motorcycle driving skills with valid driving license.
∎ Capacity and willingness to work under pressure and take challenges for the interest/ betterment of the organization towards achieving the organizational goals and objectives.
