Job Context:
∎ Mahideb Jubo Somaj Kallayan Somity in the northern Bangladesh. As a non-profit making organization, it has been registered with Social Welfare Department, Registration no.70/1974 and NGO Affairs Bureau of government of Bangladesh, vide registration no. 447/1991. Since 1972, the organization has been serving the poor and extreme poor with special focus on the char (River Island) and attached char inhabitants (men, women, youth, children and adolescents) in different areas through several program initiatives. At present, MJSKS has been working in Kurigram, Rangpur and Lalmonirhat district. MJSKS has been implementing various types of projects in the field of livelihood development, human rights, women empowerment, youth employability and engagement, adolescent development, gender equality, quality education for children, water and sanitation, health, hygiene & nutrition, Humanitarian Assistance in disaster and climate change adaptation. Sustainable development for the poorest through ensuring peoples participation is the key approach of its work.
∎ MJSKS is going to implement the "Educational Prospects for Children from Marginalized Groups- Quality Education, Safe Schools, Active Civil Society (SATIRTHO) project" in Kurigram district and "Promoting Inclusive and Equitable Quality Education in Two Rural Districts of Bangladesh (PRIORITY) project" in Lalmonirhat district to further accelerate the educational process with quality. Both projects will be implemented with the collaboration of NETZ Partnership for Development and Justice.
∎ MJSKS is looking for a qualified Education Organizer for the said projects.
∎ Job Nature: Full-time up to the project period based on performance
∎ Job Location: Kurigram and Lalmonirhat District.
∎ Job duration: 48 Months
∎ Reporting to: Project Manager (Dstrict Organiser)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Manage and supervise 5 Education Support Organizer (ESO) of the project.
∎ Assist to organize training for the school teacher and school community;
∎ Provide technical support to ESO.
∎ Facilitate the students' performance.
∎ Participate in different meetings, trainings, workshops and survey;
∎ Prepare monthly action plan and activity report and submit to supervisor.
∎ Monitor activities from school to district.
∎ Regular visit of the schools and household of students
∎ Conduct meeting with parents, SMC, Education Development Committee (EDC), Union Parishad and other community people
∎ Organize community level different event (science fair, day observance, health camp etc.)
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 3 years at reputed NGO for Good academic carrier expreance will be flexible
∎ The Education Organizer will be responsible for overall implementation of 10 schools with other project activities.
∎ Comprehensive knowledge about primary education system in Bangladesh.
∎ Subject base knowledge in any subject from class one to five.
∎ Experience to conduct training and meetings.
∎ Knowledge on local government system and community mobilization
∎ Willing to work in hard and at remotest area.
∎ Good interpersonal skill like as good behavior, respect to other, respect to children etc.,
∎ Have good oral and written communication in English and Bangla.
∎ Proficient in computer skills in MS office.
∎ Have extra curriculum will get priority (singing, drama, dance, art, sports etc)
∎ Have capacity for social gathering or event organizeing.
∎ Mandatory to drive motorcycle and have valid driving license or learner card.
Salary:
∎ Tk. 25000 (Monthly)
∎ Initial monthly salary Tk. 25,000 (possibility of yearly salary incriment 5-10%) with yearly 01 month gross salary as festival bonus and 01 month gross salary as gratuity. Organisation can split the bonus according to organisation policy.
