∎ Terms of References (ToR) for an editor for proofreading of National Maternal Health Program Implementation Toolkit (English)
∎ USAID`s MaMoni Maternal and Newborn Care Strengthening Project (MaMoni MNCSP) is a Cooperative Agreement from USAID Bangladesh awarded to Save the Children (SC) US with a period of performance from April 26, 2018 to April 25, 2023. MaMoni MNCSP and its consortium partners is working to substantially improve health outcomes for mothers and newborns in Bangladesh. The project supports the Health, Population and Nutrition Sector Program of the Bangladesh government to achieve its goal in reducing maternal and neonatal mortality rate by 2022.
∎ The project demonstrates proven Maternal and Newborn Health (MNH) interventions in small areas, expanding those interventions in 17 project districts and an island named Sandwip reaching approximately 34.8 million populations. Subsequently, it supports Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW) for scale up of the successful interventions across the country.
∎ Project has been providing support to the Maternal Health Program at national level for development, update and revision of guidelines, strategies, operation plan and technical materials since long.As a continuation of this process, a Maternal Health Program Implementation Toolkit has been in process of development. This toolkit focuses on different operational issues of maternal health including basic readiness, human resources, necessary commodities, supervision, and monitoring, recording and reporting, SBCC and quality approaches and referral system that will assist managers and service providers for planning, implementing and monitoring of maternal health interventions effectively.
∎ Objective for assignment of the consultant: MaMoni MNCSP is supporting Directorate General of Health Services of the Government of Bangladesh to produce a National Maternal Health Program Implementation Toolkit. The document (in English) is complete and now needs to be proofread by a professional editor to ensure it does not have spelling mistakes and is grammatically correct. The editor will proofread and edit the document and will also make revisions as needed. The document contains approximately 22,437 words.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Scope of work:
∎ To ensure consistency and accuracy in grammar, spelling, punctuation, and formatting.
∎ Identify and edit any mistakes related to grammar, syntax, spelling etc.
∎ Suggest reconstruction of sentences for more clarity and understandability
∎ Incorporate feedback on the document from MaMoni MNCSP staff
∎ Consult designated MaMoni MNCSP staff in case of any clarification required and submit the reviewed work within the deadline
∎ Duration of assignment: 10 (Ten) Working Days.
Salary:
∎ Remuneration: The remuneration will be BDT 65,067 for approx. 22,437words @ BDT 2.9 per word, including VAT.
Method of Payment: As per organization policy. The proofreader will be paid after completion of entire assignment, within the time mentioned.
