Educational Requirements:
∎ LLB/LLM and enrolled with Bangladesh Bar Council as an Advocate.

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 1 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ To take charge of the Paralegal Advisory Sevice in the respective area;
∎ To convene daily meeting with the Paralegals and supervise their day to day activities;
∎ To facilitate and represent the monthly Case Coordination Committee and DLAC meeting Provide support to start referring appropriate cases to the PMC from CCC and vice versa;
∎ Need to explore the option to use CCC also as a forum for case diversion;
∎ Capacity of the District Legal Aid Office (DLAO) need to be built to ensure sustainability of the paralegal support to the DLAC;
∎ Ensure Paralegal’s jointly work with District Legal Aid Office;
∎ Strengthen linkage among DLAO, Prison and GRO section to ensure effective and efficient legal aid for vulnerable justice seekers especially women, children and persons with disabilities;
∎ To contact with other team members of the project as and when required;
∎ To take the responsibility for compiling data and preparer reports for the use of the Project, criminal justice system and other stakeholders;
∎ To meet as required with the Prison, Judiciary, Administration, Police, District Legal Aid Committee, Lawyers,Health Department, Women and Children Affairs Department, Social Welfare Department and other Institutions of Criminal Justice System in order to implement project activities smoothly and effectively;
∎ To carryout other activities as and when required by Project Coordinator.
∎ Organize all sorts of trainings& workshops in the respective area;
∎ Mentoring Paralegals and guide them in PAS activities;
∎ Contribute in training and communicate information to enhance the capacity of Paralegals;
∎ Assign responsibilities to the team members and take feed back for smooth running of the project;.
∎ Ensure appropriate documentation and information flow;
∎ Contact with the Project Coordinator and other team members of the project as and when required;
∎ Maintain liaison with government departments, local administration, public representatives and other stakeholders;
∎ Maintain coordination among GIZ Office, Project Coordinator, Administrative and Documentation Officer, Finance Officer and Paralegals for smooth implementation of the project;
∎ Develop and maintain contacts with all relevant stakeholders conducive to the implementation of the project;
∎ Maintain constant liaison with the relevant authorities to sort out local problems and local solution.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 01 year's practical experience in the field of legal support and court.
∎ Partnership management and working experience with Government, NGOs and Private agencies is required.
∎ Experience in networking and advocacy.
∎ Knowledge and experience on monitoring and reporting.
∎ Experience in organizing and facilitating meeting.
∎ Good in motivation and facilitation.
∎ Good verbal and written communication skill in both Bangla and English
∎ Knowledge on Microsoft Office specially word.
∎ Ability to work independently, under pressure and deliver on time.
∎ Proven ability to work as a team member
∎ Proven commitment to gender equality, child rights and other human rights issues.

Salary: Tk. 32850 (Monthly)
