Education:
∎ Diploma in Nursing
∎ Diploma in Nursing and Midwifery (at least 3 years).

∎ Should have valid registration from Bangladesh Nursing Council (BNMC).
∎ Preferably 03 years’ practical experience.
∎ Excellent communication skills and desire to learn.
∎ Flexible, highly committed & motivated to work in remote locations, specially in riverine areas and hard-to-reach areas.
∎ Strong interpersonal and professional skills.
∎ Good teamwork exposure.
∎ Capability to work individually and under pressure.
∎ Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) are other pre-requisites.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Administer prescribed medication and clinical advice appropriately for the admitted patient.
∎ Assess pre-operative patients.
∎ Assist at operation theater during surgery/procedure and camp.
∎ Manage post-operative patients.
∎ Help in health education session.
∎ Provide professional nursing care for the patient.
∎ Maintain patient confidentiality and privacy.
∎ Monitors vital signs of the patients.
∎ Practice universal precautions to reduce infection and maintain IPC protocol.
∎ Provide professional nursing care for the patients.
∎ Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
∎ Prepare equipment and assist physicians during examinations and treatment.
∎ Collect patient relevant investigation at bedside before doctor round.
∎ Follow up the lab and x ray department for the report.
∎ Provide wound care and post-surgical care.
∎ Take part in Patient and Family Education (PFE).
∎ Documents patient care services by charting patient and department records.
∎ Assist with diagnostic tests, health camp, help in patient screening and pre & post-operative patient management.
∎ Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality of patient records.
∎ Ensure operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining inventory.
∎ Maintain daily checklist of the Ward.
∎ Maintain nursing supplies inventory; assessment needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
∎ Develop professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and training.
∎ Maintain teamwork among health teams by fleet team; responding to requests; building rapport; participating in team problem-solving activities/initiatives.
∎ Should know how to operate cardiac monitor, syringe pump and defibrillator.
∎ Respond to medical emergencies and perform basic life-saving measures.
∎ Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.· Maintain meticulous patient record appropriately and maintain in-patient file properly.
∎ Identifies patient care requirements by establishing personal rapport with potential and actual patients and other people in a position to understand care requirements.
∎ Establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families.
∎ Respect patients’ needs and requirements and address accordingly.
∎ Deal patient with appropriate manner and caring attitude.
∎ Increase acceptance, awareness and reinforce positive attitude in the Friendship working area towards the health programs through different awareness building and motivational activities.
∎ Attending the outdoor patients as when necessary for health care or referral.
∎ Assures quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards; measuring health outcomes against patient care goals; making or recommending necessary adjustments; following hospital and standards of care set by state board of nursing, state nurse practice act, and other governing agency regulations.
∎ Ability to work under stress.
∎ Follow the values and code of ethics of Friendship and work according to policy.
∎ Counseling of patient & taking consent for any procedure, interventions, or surgeries during secondary health camps.
∎ Taking care of post-operative patients during secondary health medical camp.
∎ Help OT assistant to make list of selected surgical/medical patients for the camp.
∎ Assist Lab and X-ray Technologist when a female patient required assistant.
∎ Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
∎ Adhere to safeguarding policy.
∎ Show empathy to the patients. Deal with patients politely and maintain professional relationships.
∎ Introduce yourself to patients before delivering any service to the patient.
