Job Responsibilities:
∎ Internal capacity strengthening:
∎ Analyse the current needs of capacity development of the partner team and design appropriate capacity development plan/interventions to meet the needs.
∎ Provide external and internal training, coaching, and other technical support to meet the expectations as per the context.
∎ Ensure periodic assessment of achievements of capacity development plan and redesign the interventions, if needed.
∎ External capacity strengthening:
∎ Analyse current training needs of humanitarian agencies to develop a calendar of training with clear line of responsibilities.
∎ Help in execution of training calendar with the support of partner staff.
∎ Integrate quality assurance framework in training to promote diversity of training provision to meet the different needs of individuals and agencies and to ensure high-quality standards.
∎ Project management:
∎ To contribute in planning, implementation, and monitoring of mainstreaming project/consortium interventions in coordination with CDD teams.
∎ In collaboration with CDD's Inclusion team, develop and implement a detailed action plan for implementation of advocacy/technical advisory strategy with mainstream actors as prioritized in the strategy.
∎ In collaboration with CDD's inclusion team complete narrative reporting as required.
∎ Contribute in the recruitment of relevant staff, consultants and field visit as per the requirements.
∎ Monitor project expenditure against budget and financial reporting on disability mainstreaming activities.
∎ Develop case studies on inclusion of persons with disabilities in various sectors including various barriers or challenges for persons with disabilities.
∎ Develop proposals on disability mainstreaming opportunities.
∎ External Representation and Advocacy:
∎ When needed, co-chair the Age and Disability Working Group (ADWG) and jointly with CDD's Inclusion team, participate in other cluster coordination meetings.
∎ Work with ADWG to develop a strategy to ensure disability inclusion in humanitarian action through the existing humanitarian coordination mechanisms.
∎ Liaise, communicate and coordinate with working groups, including WASH, Protection, and GBV sub sector, to mainstream disability inclusion in JRP, MSNA/ Rohingya refugee response.
∎ Advocate for implementation of national, international framework of inclusion (HIS, IASC guidelines on inclusion, humanitarian charter, UNCRPD etc) for identification of barriers and encouraging inclusion.
∎ Other tasks:
∎ Contribute in developing plan for internal mainstreaming with CDD especially on forming, building capacity of disability movement and strengthening linkage between rehab and inclusion.
∎ Contribute in fulfilling the country office needs of technical advisory and contribute where feasible in information exchange, internal capacity building etc.
∎ Any other task as assigned by the line manager.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum of 5-6 years of proven professional experience in mix of humanitarian and development context in an advisory, coordination position in INGO/NGO.
∎ Minimum of 4 years work experience in inclusion of at risk groups ideally in humanitarian context- such as with persons with disabilities, women, children, and older people.
∎ Strong experience in the capacity building preferably in the field of age and /or disability.
∎ Good understanding of humanitarian architecture, disability inclusion standards and guidelines and Universal Design principles.
∎ Desirable:
∎ Experience in project cycle management (proposal writing, project planning, budgeting, project implementation, MEAL) and managing bilateral donor projects.
∎ A person with lived experience of disability should be an asset.
∎ Languages:
∎ English (professional proficiency)
∎ Bengali Language (professional proficiency)
∎ Knowledge of Chittagonian Language advantageous
∎ Tools:
∎ Excellent command on MS Word, MS PowerPoint; very good command on MS Excel. Have outstanding skills and expertise at communicating by email and internet.
Salary:
∎ Monthly salary is Tk.160,000 (including hardship + communication allowance). CBM provides other benefits such as bonus (equivalent to one-month gross salary), leave encashment, insurance coverage for life, hospitalization and outpatient, two weekly holidays etc.
