Job Context:
∎ Position Summary: The Director-MERL will focus on Sesame Workshop`s humanitarian initiatives to create a positive impact on children and caregivers from the Rohingya and host community populations in Cox`s Bazar, Bangladesh. S/he will have two major roles; one is to manage the day-to-day partnership, and another is technical leadership in curriculum and contents development. Thus, he will be responsible for providing support to the overall field operation of the Play to Learn Program in achieving the PtL results including ensuring implementation of the planned activities in partnership with BRAC, IRC and others. He will also be the technical lead of PtL Bangladesh in ECD program models, contents, and guidelines revision/development with partners, SWB and SW NY technical members. He will be the interface between SW Education team in NY, SWB content team, and PtL partners for smooth implementation of the project technical activities including technical approaches and contents development/production and distribution. He will frequently visit program sites both camps and host communities to understand program processes, progresses and results and ensure appropriate support. He will be hands-on in day-to-day program management as well.
∎ Reports to: The Director (MERL) reports to the Director- Bangladesh Humanitarian Program
∎ Job Location: This is a Dhaka based position with field visit as required by the project
Additional Requirements:
∎ 10 years of experience in M&E including 3 years ECD/Basic Education program.
∎ Proven expertise in Monitoring systems and tools development
∎ Proven expertise in research methodology development including sampling
∎ Proven expertise in data management including data compilation and analysis both qualitative and quantitative using application like SPSS, EXCEL, ACCESS, NVIVO etc.
∎ Report writing skills with past publications
∎ Excellent interpersonal communication skills
∎ Good monitoring and analytical skills
∎ Excellent in teamwork and networking
∎ Field Implementation experience and Experience of working in partnership with NGOs
∎ Advance editing and publication skills.
∎ Manage multiple priorities and workload.
