Educational Requirements:
∎ Advanced degree (M.Com,/MBA) relevant to accounting, finance and business administration with professional certification (FCA/CPA/FCMA/) shall be given preference. Candidates with additional degree/diploma/training on human resource management shall be an added advantage.

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 15 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Director - Finance and Operations will be a strategic thought-partner, and report to the executive director (ED). The successful candidate will be a hands-on and participative manager and will lead and develop an internal team to support the following areas: finance, risk management & compliance, procurement, business planning & budgeting, human resources, administration, MIS & IT as well as maintaining liaison with regulatory authorities and external stakeholders to ensure compliance as well as uphold the organizations integrity.
∎ The Director - Finance and Operations will play a critical role in partnering with the senior leadership team in strategic decision making and operations as the organization continues to enhance its quality programming and build capacity.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Proven expertise in finance, accounting, and auditing, monitoring of grant compliance and management and the establishment of internal controls.
∎ Experience with final responsibility for the coordination, quality and content of all financial data, reporting and audit coordination for an organization, and has preferably overseen a human resources function previously
∎ At least fifteen (15) years of experience in the relevant fields. Development/donor-funded programs will be given preference.
∎ Demonstrated knowledge of management processes and systems, such as human resources management and development (including performance evaluation), financial management, and management of employee compensation systems.
∎ Experience analyzing budget trends and monitoring funding levels across multiple accounts
∎ Expertise with procedures required for adequate planning, monitoring, and realigning of complex budgets.
∎ Demonstrated ability to work with regularity and cooperating partners in implementing a complex program in the field under challenging circumstances
∎ Skilled in managing and compiling financial data for reporting and ensuring compliance with all stakeholder requirements
∎ Ability to successfully manage and develop staff in a multi-cultural setting as demonstrated by past experience
∎ Technology savvy with experience selecting and overseeing software installations and managing relationships with software vendors; knowledge of accounting and reporting software
∎ Prior experience managing a team of highly successful staff working in multiple locations/field offices.
