    The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):

    Auditing, Compliance, Financial Management, Tax and VAT in NGO/INGO/Other Organization

  • A minimum 5 years of experience in financial management and independent auditing;

  • Experience in leading and managing a team of high-level development professionals;

  • Experience in budgeting/ forecasting and Financial Management;

  • Experience in monitoring and evaluation of program activities;

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills;

  • Experience in participatory/ consultative planning and Management of Program;

  • Excellent analytical and report-writing ability;

  • Expert user of computer programs (especially MS Word, MS PowerPoint & Excel);

  • Ability to operate & execute responsibility independently;

  • Fluency in writing and speaking Bangla & English;

  • Willing to do local travel with own initiative;

  • Genuine commitment and respect for the poor and disadvantaged people.



Responsibilities & Context:

Christian Service Society is a national NGO working across the country, implementing a number of projects and programs in the fields of health, education, and economic and enterprise development, including a countrywide microfinance program. We are looking for an experienced "Director-Audit & Compliance" who will be responsible for carrying out process/operational audit assignments according to the organization`s needs. Apart from the regular internal audit assignments, this position will carry out special audits and investigations as mandated by the management. Ensuring compliance and transparency at work will also be a critical function of this position.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of planning, organizing, leading, and managing a team of high-level development professionals;

  • Provide leadership and management support for overall financial & auditing aspects of the organization;

  • Support and guide project’ heads to do their job effectively and efficiently, especially in complying with financial regulations;

  • Maintain effective coordination among all projects;

  • Oversee Management Information Systems (MIS) of all projects and cross-check the consistency with audit reports;

  • Participate in all works related to records and assets activities and inform the Executive Director as per the needs of the organization;

  • Maintain coordination, liaison, and networking with other Directors and Project heads;

  • Provide internal financial management guidance for all projects/programs, including budgeting and controlling of budget;

  • Ensure monitoring and evaluation of the programs towards meeting their goals and objectives through field visits, internal unit visits, staff meetings, individual meetings, reporting, individual interviews, focus group discussions, training, etc.;

  • Provide guidance, assistance, and support related to personnel management issues;

  • Identify training needs, as well as plan and facilitate training programs through HRM for the skill development of the staff, especially in the area of Finance & Audit;

  • Review & follow up on the reports of external auditors;

  • Take prompt measures/ decisions with the consultation of other Directors to protect the assets, property, and image of the organization in case of any emergency;

  • Any other special responsibilities as assigned by the Executive Director;
