The Deputy Manager - Partnerships (Development & Learning) is one of key positions working together with stakeholders and partners across the partnership movement to support the successful implementation of the Partnership principles and workflow movement wide. The Deputy Partnership Manager (L&D) has an exciting opportunity to support the Partnership functions with the special focus in Humanitarian settings: one of the largest in Save the Children globally.

∎ Through supporting the Partnership Manager, the role holder will drive a learning agenda to ensure that our knowledge of local actors is up to date; that partner learning and development is 'owned' through the completion and monitoring of capacity strengthening plans; and that feedback is regularly exchanged with the partner on how the wider relationship is progressing. S/he will also do the necessary collaboration with the Budget Holders and the Partner Assessment Team to draft capacity-strengthening plans as well as mobilize staff to dedicate time towards supporting relevant components of the plan.

∎ The role holder is also expected to be proactive, organized, energetic and able to build good relationships with internal functions including Awards, Finance, Technical Advisers and Program Operations. S/he will also assist the Partnership Manager for ensuring a smooth introduction of organization to the partners. Considering the humanitarian nature of the program the position will be expected to work outside the normal role profile.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 4 years' experience of working in development sector with a focus on partnership management and organizational capacity building. Experience of working in humanitarian response will add value
∎ Ability in financial planning, budget monitoring, analyzing information and evaluating options
∎ Good understanding of donor compliance; knowledge of Save the Children reporting mechanisms and requirements will be a plus
∎ Proven capacity to deliver training and coach staff along with strong representational and organizational skill
∎ Ability to work under pressure, be adaptable and flexible and willingness to travel field in a regular basis
∎ Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skill
∎ A high level of written and spoken English, proficiency in MS Office
