Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in food science/food technology & nutrition/ chemistry/applied chemistry/Bio Chemistry from any reputed public university with Master’s degree (Added Advantage ).
Minimum 8 years of experience in food manufacturing Quality control/ Production/R&D or product development, where minimum 4 yrs work experience in food R&D/Product development (preferably with experience in specialized areas like Dairy, bakery, confectionery, Snacks, Culinary).
Deep understanding of ingredient functionality, food packaging technology, food safety regulations, costing and processing technologies. Passion in food innovation in beverages, dairy, snacks, bakery, confectionery and culinary trends.
Must have good knowledge of food nutrition and functional foods and have a good understanding of the functional roles of functional foods in the body.
Methodical approach to troubleshooting, testing, and record keeping of food products and processes.
Leading the development of new products and improving existing products to meet consumer needs by transforming them into high-quality products and conduct benchtop experiments to standardize recipes for idealizing product taste texture and nutrition.
Conducting product shelf-life studies cost analysis process strategy development and plant trials to take the product from lab scale to commercial scale.
Manage multiple product development projects simultaneously setting deadlines and ensuring timely launch of new products by ensuring quality standards in compliance with safety legal and regulatory standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP) and sensory profiles and consumer expectations & cost-effectiveness.
Working closely with departments such as suppliers BR&R brand marketing stores SCM production and quality control to align product development efforts with the company's overall goals.
Providing leadership guidance support and mentorship to all team members to foster a collaborative and innovative environment and excellence.
Continuously improve research methods, product development processes and introduce innovative technologies to enhance product quality and efficiency identify technical challenges and resolve issues and make important decisions.
Create maintain sign and implement product and processing documents ensuring all types of compliance and food safety regulations and maintain proper documentation and record keeping systems.
Ensuring and maintaining proper laboratory practices, operational procedures regulatory issues and policies.
