Experience:
Master’s degree preferably in Social Science, Development Studies, English, Journalism, Mass Communication, or any other relevant subject with honours from any recognized/reputed university.
At least one first class and two second class are must.
Minimum of 8 years of work experience in communication and knowledge management in the development /NGO sector. Candidates having knowledge on land and human rights activities are encouraged to apply;
S/he should have an extensive experience in communication and knowledge management strategies, latest IT techniques, documentation, publication, and audio-visual material preparation about development fields.
S/he should possess excellent writing, editing, and speaking skills in particularly English and also Bengali;
Sound IT literacy with good knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the internet;
Displays cultural, gender, religion, indigenous, and age sensitivity and adaptability;
Treats all people fairly without favoritism or discrimination;
Ability to identify and remedy problems and make decisions;
Committed to meeting the deadline;

A National Policy Advocacy and Networking Organization, is going to recruit following position for Promoting land rights and access to natural resources of the marginalized poor, landless, women, ethnic peoples and minorities.
Deputy Manager (Communication and Knowledge Management), a senior position of the organization, will be responsible for communication and knowledge management, documentation and demonstrate the organizational credits to wider audiences. The position is responsible for supporting and executing communication strategies within the organization. Key duties include assisting in the development and implementation of communication plans, collaborating with various teams to generate content, managing media relations, preparing press releases, overseeing branding, and contributing to the organization`s overall communication objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, update, enhance and maintain the organization’s website and social media platform ensuring a well-designed, well-structured, easy to navigate and high quality written and visual content that caters to a wide range of audiences;
Develop new written and visual content, polish, edit and post on the website and social media platform, ensuring high quality visual and content posting;
Oversee production of video materials and disseminate as needed;
Design, develop and enhance a strategy for social media engagement of the organization and identify new opportunities for such engagement;
Develop and produce communication and advocacy materials to enhance program visibility, coordinating with the senior management team for briefing materials, press releases, and awareness campaigns;
Profile organization’s programs, campaigns, and mobilization initiatives locally, nationally, and internationally using web and social media platforms;
Assist all components of the programme in producing and documenting all kinds of programme related reports, including visibility material;
Provide high-quality editing and formatting for all programme-related documents;
Support programme/project staff in organizing and writing high-quality reports on advocacy and networking events;
Prepare and edit programme related reports, and documents, including case stories and content for website and social media;
Collaborate with the program team to generate content, maintaining a balance between creativity, credibility and authenticity.
Provide communication support for seminars, conferences, and public events on major issues.
Coordinate, identify, develop, and disseminate knowledge products and lessons learned.
Manage media relations, prepare press releases, respond to inquiries, and develop media outreach plans.
Develop ideas, content, and strategies to reach diverse audiences.
Coordinate with service providers and manage relationships with printers, designers, photographers, writers, editors, and advertising/marketing/event coordination agencies.
Manage, administer and ensure quality on all web-based systems and manage organization’s knowledge platforms;
Monitor usability, accessibility and security of all online assets;
Advise on usability and innovation in communication and knowledge management tools to improve access to information.
Undertake other content-related assignments as agreed with the senior management team and
Perform any other tasks or responsibilities assigned by senior management.
We offer an enabling and supportive work environment. Competitive compensation and total benefit package for the position of Deputy Manager (Communication and Knowledge Management) will be between Tk. 100,000 to Tk. 110,000 per month and fringe benefit for the position as per project budget provision. Six-month probationary period is compulsory for the position. Initially this position will be contractual for project period i.e. 30 June 2027, but contract may be renewed depending on performance.
