Job Context:
∎ SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme`s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assist to analyse financial statements of investment portfolio and prepare portfolio report for Management and Investment Committees.
∎ Maintain coordination between BRAC and various investees in regard to financing/ investment.
∎ Prepare monthly/ quarterly/ yearly accounts for Development programme.
∎ Assist to prepare fund requisition along with necessary supporting documents.
∎ Regular meet up with programme personnel to solve various finance and accounting related problems.
∎ Analyse expense burn rate and budget variance of development projects.
∎ Create project Chart of Accounts, following the Master Chart of Accounts.
∎ Coordinate with different section of Finance and Accounts team to accumulate documentation on investment undertakings.
∎ Follow up for the required financial and legal documents needed for BRAC as per agreement.
∎ Prepare the meeting materials of Governing Body Meeting, Finance, Audit and Risk Committee, Management Investment Committee etc.
∎ Follow up and address issues identified in BRAC financial reports and audit observations.
∎ Respond to inquiries from Finance Management, Programme Directors and firm wide managers regarding financial results and special reporting requests.
Additional Requirements:
∎ ADDITIONAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
∎ Strong knowledge on Accounting, Finance, Audit, Budget, Tax, VAT and Accounting principles and their implications.
∎ Strong interpersonal, supervisory and customer service skills.
∎ Proficiency in using different computer applications and generating reports.
∎ Competencies on Accounting skills, Financial Reporting and Consolidation.
∎ Strong communication skills in both English and Bangla.
∎ Minimum 03 years' of work experience in the fields of Accounts/ Finance/ Budget/ Audit/ Tax/ VAT is preferred.
