Experience:

• At least 1 year

• Diploma

• Minimum: SSC / HSC (Science preferred)Preferred.

• Diploma / Certificate in CSSD Technology, OT Technology, or Sterilization Techniques from a recognized institute.

• At least 1 year
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Hospital, Clinic, Healthcare Startup

• CSSD Assistant: 1+ year experience in hospital CSSD/OT support (preferred).

• CSSD Technician: 2–3+ years hands-on CSSD experience.

• Experience in autoclave and sterilizer operation preferred.

Instrument Reprocessing

• Receive used instruments and devices from OT, wards, ICU, and other units.

• Perform proper sorting and segregation of instruments.

• Carry out manual and mechanical cleaning procedures.

• Operate ultrasonic cleaners and washer–disinfectors where available.

• Inspect instruments for cleanliness, function, and damage.

Sterilization Process

• Prepare, assemble, and pack instrument sets and trays.

• Operate sterilization equipment (autoclave, ETO, plasma, dry heat as applicable).

• Select correct sterilization cycle based on item type.

• Monitor sterilization parameters (time, temperature, pressure).

• Use and document chemical and biological indicators.

Storage & Distribution

• Label sterile packs with date, batch, and expiry.

• Maintain sterile storage conditions as per protocol.

• Issue sterile supplies based on requisition.

• Maintain FIFO (First In First Out) system.

Documentation & Quality Control

• Maintain sterilization logs and registers.

• Record load details and test results.

• Report sterilization failures or equipment malfunction immediately.

• Support audit and infection control checks.

Infection Control & Safety

• Follow infection prevention and control (IPC) guidelines.

• Use PPE properly during all decontamination and sterilization work.

• Follow biomedical waste segregation rules.

• Ensure clean and dirty zone separation.

Equipment Care

• Clean and maintain CSSD machines and work areas.

• Perform routine checks of autoclaves and sealing machines.

• Coordinate with maintenance for breakdowns.
