Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelors in Arts. Preferably in Literature, Journalism or Communication.
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 3 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Produce high-quality written content in Bangla for internal communication purposes, including speeches, articles, blogs, stories, scripts, translations, memos, circulars, and other communication materials.
∎ Collaborate with various departments to gather relevant information and insights for content creation.
∎ Conduct research on different development topics to ensure accurate and up-to-date information in the content.
∎ Edit and proofread Bangla content to maintain consistency, clarity, and accuracy.
∎ Adapt the tone and style of writing according to the target audience and communication channel.
∎ Work closely with the Communication Leads/Senior Director, wider communication network and other team members to develop content strategies and plans.
∎ Monitor and understand the socio-economic and political context of Bangladesh to inform the content creation process.
∎ Ensure all content aligns with our organization's mission, values, and communication objectives.
∎ Maintain the organization's voice and style guide in all communication materials.
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 22 years
∎ Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills in Bangla with a keen eye for detail.
∎ Strong communication skills and a positive attitude towards giving and receiving feedback.
∎ Proficiency in adapting writing style and tone based on different communication needs and target audiences.
∎ Familiarity with digital communication platforms and tools is a plus
∎ Passion for creating impactful and meaningful content that drives engagement and understanding.
∎ In-depth knowledge of the socio-economic and political landscape of Bangladesh.
∎ Strong understanding of development topics and familiarity with the goals and works of development organizations in Bangladesh.
