Experience:

• At least 3 years

At least a bachelor`s degree, and preferably a master`s level degree, in Public Health, Research Methods or related field.

• At least 3 years

• Preferably at least 3 years’ experience in Public Health, and knowledge of social and behavior change (SBC) initiatives in Bangladesh.

• Background and training in research methods, particularly qualitative methodologies, with experience in interviewing techniques.

• Ability to successfully guide conversations to obtain necessary information (experience conducting qualitative interviews)

• Ability to think critically about outcomes on the spot and pose necessary follow-up questions during interviews.

• Ability to think critically about public health intervention approaches and relate this to outcomes that can be used to understand its success.

• Familiarity with SMART outcomes and ability to craft consistently structured SMART outcomes.

• Familiarity with Capacity and Systems Strengthening approaches such as trainings and workshops, mentoring and coaching, technical assistance, policy and advocacy support, monitoring and evaluation, resource mobilization, etc.

• Demonstrated (through education or previous work experience) ability to write and communicate concisely and clearly in English.

Purpose: To support the outcome harvesting evaluation of the Breakthrough ACTION project in Bangladesh.

The consultant will lead the process of verifying outcomes. S/he will

• Interview individuals external to Breakthrough ACTION to verify outcomes,

• Facilitate the communication between Outcome Harvesting Baltimore team, Breakthrough ACTION Bangladesh team and stakeholders.

• Analyze, organize, and file verification documents and interview notes.

• Update the master outcomes matrix according to the information gathered from both individuals and documents.
