Job Context:
∎ To work closely with the Camp Unit and report to ensure better information management services and overall reporting services of the Shelter and Site Development projects in Cox`s Bazar.
∎ The duration of the contract will be until December 31, 2023.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Supervise the construction related to Shelter & Site Development activities in the field.
∎ Ensuring the quality of the construction and preciseness according to the drawing, design, and BoQ.
∎ Good understanding of the design, drawing, and BoQ of Construction.
∎ Mobilize material in the field according to the workplan.
∎ Utilizing construction labour through proper labour management.
∎ Assess the needs and resources required for shelter and site development activities and plan an appropriate integrated response.
∎ Plan, and manage the implementation of necessary measures to address any repairing and maintenance-related issues.
∎ Mobilize communities, where appropriate, to participate fully in this program.
∎ Supervising the regular operation and maintenance of shelters and reporting the progress of work.
∎ Monitoring the shelter facilities' status, reporting, and planning of action.
∎ Train community facilitators, trainers, and staff in shelter intervention as appropriate.
∎ Use participatory approaches as far as possible throughout the program cycle, in training, and in the use of toolkits and other materials.
∎ Ensure that shelter and site development activities are in line with the standards,
∎ Perform any other related duties or responsibilities that may be assigned by the project team.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 23 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Professional experience in Site Development and Shelter.
∎ Experience in the construction field for a minimum of one year.
∎ Experience in the Rohingya response for a minimum of one year.
∎ Experience in the use of tablets & smartphones and associated software.
∎ Able to communicate in the local language (Cox's Bazar, Burmese)
∎ Knowledge of different data collection methodologies such as the KOBO toolbox.
∎ Positive attitude as a development worker, team worker, and accommodative within the team at the community level along with development partners.
∎ Willingness to work under pressure during emergency response.
