Job Context:
∎ Duration of contract : 31/12/2021 (Possibility to extend)
∎ Department/Organizational Unit: Disaster Response department (PMO)
∎ Report to: CEA Coordinator PMO, BDRCS
∎ Age limit: 40 years (Age limit will be relaxed in case of potential candidate)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ As the CEA focal point for his or her camp, this Community Mobilizer will be permanently responsible for:
∎
∎ Managing the CEA community volunteers and CEA RCYs in his/her camp
∎ Ensuring close coordination with the PGI and PSS teams and organizing joint community-based activities
∎ Coordinating the radio listening program and looking for opportunities to scale it up
∎ Organizing a Majhi/Imam meeting to share information and collect feedback (at least once per month)
∎ Actively monitoring the perceptions from communities by organizing regular Focus Group Discussions and door-to-door activities
∎ Organizing outreach activities to raise awareness among Guest and Host communities about BDRCS as well as their right to provide feedback
∎ Collecting all feedback from the different feedback channels (such as the feedback box, the radio listening program, and the information desk) and sharing the report with the BDRCS CEA Officer on a weekly basis, for further analysis
∎ Following up with the people who provided feedback, questions, or complaints after the BDRCS sector lead has provided a response
∎ In case of sensitive complaints, ensuring an immediate referral to the Senior Committee for Sensitive Issues (in accordance with the PGI protocol)
∎ Accomplish any other responsibility assigned by the PMO management and line manager.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
∎ Good computer skills, especially in MS Office.
∎ Demonstrated experience and ability in project management, specifically in the field of health, relief and livelihoods, shelter, humanitarian aid and assistance.
∎ Experience in supporting emergency response.
∎ Excellent communication skills in Bangla and English
∎ Priority will be given to the candidates who demonstrate a high level of motivation and good communication in social and interpersonal skills.
∎ Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Bangla, and English language typing. Fluency in both spoken and written Bangla and English languages.
∎ Two years working experience in Community Mobilization.
∎ Experience in Participatory approaches
∎ Working experience with partners, donors, and contractors
∎ Good Computer skills
∎ Organizing capacity, coordination, and planning skills
∎ Fluent in English and Bangla.
∎ Adhere to the 7 fundamental principles of Red Cross and Red Crescent movement
∎ Act at all times in accordance with the Code of Conduct of RCRC Movement
∎ Honest and high level of integrity.
Salary: Tk. 40722 (Monthly)
