Job Context:

∎ Reports to: Project Officer
∎ Nature of Job: Full time
∎ Level: Junior level position
∎ Under supervision of the Project Officer, the Community Mobilizer will be responsible for mobilizing the community, selection of the beneficiaries, and delivering the project in the field.
∎ Working Conditions:
∎ Working days from Sunday to Thursday with 40 hours per week. This position may be required to work some extra hours to meet deadlines as and when required
∎ Yearly renewable contract based on fund availability and performance
∎ Have to follow ICCO HR, Admin and Finance related policies
∎ Duration of contract till December 2020 with possibilities of extension depending on fund availability

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Overall Responsibilities:
∎ The role of the Community Mobilizer (CM) is to mobilize the community, capacity building of the beneficiary, inputs distribution/ asset transfer, organize farmers market, liaison and coordination with local authorities and stakeholders.
∎ Key Responsibilities:
∎ Community communication, mobilization and beneficiary selection and validation
∎ Organize and facilitate beneficiary training, group meetings, workshops
∎ Facilitate skill development trainings as co-facilitator
∎ Plan and record the practicalities of inputs/ asset transfers
∎ Identify and locate resources and services from internal and external (UP, Govt, NGOs) sources for the participants
∎ Problem identification in the field and help the group to solve the problems
∎ Organize and assist events observing different key International Days
∎ Assist project officer in preparing project reports
∎ Assist M&E officer in collecting data from the field
∎ Attend meetings/ events organized externally and represent the project and ICCO properly
∎ Prepare and submit plan, report weekly/ monthly as required
∎ The duties and responsibilities may change as per project requirements
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum two years of experience in market-based interventions/ livelihoods/ agriculture
∎ Have experience/ ideas about assemble market/ farm-gate market/ supermarket
∎ Work experience in emergency response project/ Rohingya camps preferred.
∎ Must be able to speak the local Chittagong language
∎ Female candidates are strongly preferred
∎ Experience in community mobilization, need assessment, beneficiary selection, input distribution and training delivery.
∎ Strong interpersonal and communication skills, good team player
∎ Willing to work in any union in Teknaf Upazila
∎ Punctual and good at time management and strong relationship building skills
∎ Understanding of protection issues facing our beneficiaries
∎ An affinity with low-income consumers and producers
∎ Good verbal and written communication skills in Bengali
∎ Willingness to drive motorcycle with valid license, will be an added value for the position.

∎ Competitive salary package depending on education and experience.
