Additional Requirements:
  • Hardcore SkillsPhotography: Experience in photography with the proficiency in photo-editing software such as Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, or GIMP to enhance images, adjust colors, exposure, and remove imperfections.
  • Audiovisual Production: Skilled in Camera Operation and Audivisual Production including storyboarding and planning. Proficiency in industry-standard video editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
  • Graphic Design: Expertise in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, or similar programs to create high-quality designs for social media, brochures, reports, and other communication materials. Ability to turn complex data and statistics into compelling infographics using tools like Canva, Infogram, or Piktochart.
  • Social Media Content Creation: Ability to create platform-specific video and image content (e.g., Instagram stories, LinkedIn videos, Facebook posts). Skills in creating short animations or looping videos for social media (using tools like Adobe After Effects or Canva).
  • Soft Skills: Ability to work effectively in a team environment, manage multiple assignments, and meet deadlines. Strong knowledge of best practices for writing, publication, and design. Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.


Responsibilities & Context:

The Centre for Peace and Justice (CPJ) is a multi-disciplinary academic institute that promotes global peace and social justice through quality education, research, training, and advocacy. CPJ is dedicated to identifying and promoting sustainable, inclusive solutions to global issues, including fragility, conflict, and violence. The institute has multiple interventions in Cox’s Bazar through its Refugee Studies Unit (RSU). We are seeking an experienced and technically proficient Communication, Reporting, and Documentation Officer to support these initiatives, as detailed in the Terms of Reference below.

Position Overview:

The Communication, Reporting, and Documentation Officer will oversee communications, reporting, and documentation for activities under the RSU in Cox’s Bazar. The position will involve close collaboration with the Communications team in the Dhaka office. The key responsibilities include:

Key Responsibilities:

Communications:

  • Maintain and implement the communication strategies and branding guidelines of CPJ, BRAC University, and relevant donors and partners.

  • Develop and produce communication materials such as flyers, one-pagers, brochures, website content, banners, posters, booklets, social media posts, and other publications.

  • Identify and create audio, video, and print documentaries to showcase programmatic impact.

  • Capture photos and videos of activities and produce stories and video documentaries.

  • Compile success stories and develop communication materials with accompanying photos and videos.

  • Manage media communications, including press invitations, press releases, media briefings, and liaison.

  • Regularly update and monitor CPJ’s website and social media channels in collaboration with the head office team.

  • Organize events, training sessions, seminars, webinars, and team meetings, including invitation management.

  • Launch and manage online social media campaigns and advocacy activities.

Reporting and Documentation:

  • Prepare event reports and periodic donor reports for projects.

  • Draft briefing notes, talking points, meeting minutes, and papers for high-level meetings.

  • Initiate the knowledge management process abnd colloborate with the team.

  • Assist with the preparation of concept notes, proposals, and budgets for new projects.

  • Support in conducting interviews, Key Informant Interviews (KIIs), Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), and research consultations.

  • Assist in drafting opinion pieces, policy briefs, and other written materials.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate field visits for donors, partners, and other guests.

  • Provide support in liaising with the RRRC, CIC, and local government/administration.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager.
