Educational Requirements:
∎ Master of Development Studies (MDS), Master of Information & Communication Technology (MICT)
∎ Advanced degree (or an additional 5 years of work experience in lieu of a Masters) in Communication and Knowledge Management, Environmental Journalism, or any other closely related discipline from a reputed university at home or abroad.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Develop/refine communication, knowledge management, and advocacy strategies for Arannayk foundation relevant to its goal, vision and mission, and requirements of its ongoing projects
∎ Lead the implementation of the strategies and provide oversight to project teams at HQ and Field level.
∎ Develop relevant media and communication tools which include leaflets, fliers, brochures, posters, banners, op-eds, short video clips of community voices/community photo voices, a compilation of stories, pictures covering AF's impact on the life of the people, natural resources, environment, and the climate.
∎ Lead communication/outreach activities as needed to ensure efficient use of relevant communication tools for engaging and mobilizing communities, and stakeholders under private and public sectors, political leaders, academicians, and development professionals/thinkers to create an enabling environment for greater collaboration and synergies to tackle climate change and biodiversity conservation.
∎ Identify and capture achievements and knowledge generated through AF's works e.g., Lessons learned, best practices, success stories, etc, and document them in formats of book/booklet, manual, reports, and/or discussion papers as appropriate.
∎ Develop and institute Monthly/Quarterly newsletters and issue-based news bulletins containing field events and successes and AF endeavors/successes
∎ Upon approval, disseminate those to appropriate stakeholders including AF staff members using the most efficient channels e.g., communities of practices, lessons dissemination workshop, distribution of materials to targeted audiences, uploading to AF repository for wider dissemination, etc.
∎ Support project management in preparing various project reports
∎ Lead and contribute to preparing AF's Annual Reports for external stakeholders/donors.
∎ Identify issues that need the attention of relevant policymakers for further strengthening our efforts to forest and biodiversity conservation, natural resource management and governance, climate changes adaptation and supports needed from government and civil society organizations.
∎ Organize policy advocacy events and campaigns as appropriate.
∎ Support project events (includes planning, coordination, promotion, marketing, etc.), such as knowledge-sharing seminars held on-site or off-site and conferences-webinars or any suitable virtual platform, organizing fairs, day observation events, round table meetings, debates for development, youth engagement events, job fairs and specific advocacy events as needed.
∎ Provide capacity-building training to AF and its partner's staff members to carry out Communication, KM, and Advocacy activities efficiently.
∎ Act as the Communication POC and resource person for the projects and the AF as well, in the domain of communication, outreach, knowledge management, and advocacy initiatives.
∎ In collaboration with the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Specialist, (I) develop communication impact indicators and monitor the progress on a timely basis. (II) Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly performance reports against the approved strategy and plan for the portfolio.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Strong experience with media relations – have effective networks and relationships with prominent media houses (print and electronic) and other professional networks pertinent to climate, environment, and nature.
∎ Experience working in the field of journalism and in media houses is an added advantage for the role.
∎ Excellent writing skills in Bangla and English, data visualization, and skills of decent graphic work are required. Video and photo shooting and editing skills will have added value to this role.
∎ Experience managing social media and organizational web-portal is essential.
∎ Result-focused and self-motivated, having values and ethics for mankind and the planet.
∎ Demonstrated ability to work with minimum supervision.
∎ Enthusiasm to learn new communications and advocacy skills.

Salary: Tk. 75000 - 85000 (Monthly)
