- 3–5 years of experience in a commercial or banking role, preferably in import-based businesses.
- Strong understanding of trade finance, LC documentation, and shipping/logistics procedures.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, and ERP systems.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
Responsibilities & Context:
- Manage the entire import process, including LC opening, amendments, and negotiation.
- Liaise with local and international banks for trade finance and related documentation.
- Ensure timely preparation and submission of all commercial documents (PI, LC, B/L, Invoice, Packing List, COO, etc.).
- Coordinate with suppliers, shipping lines, freight forwarders, and customs agents for smooth logistics and clearance.
- Monitor shipment schedules and ensure on-time delivery of goods.
- Maintain records of all import transactions and reconcile payments with finance teams.
- Ensure compliance with national and international trade regulations and company policies.
