∎ Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Child protection related Monitoring & Evaluation in humanitarian or development settings.
∎ Prior experience working with UNICEF or similar international organizations is desirable.
∎ Proven experience in child protection research methods and development of monitoring tools.
∎ Demonstrated understanding of gender, protection, and CP programming in the local context.
∎ Excellent command of written and spoken English.
∎ Strong analytical and reporting skills.
∎ Familiarity with data collection tools and software (e.g., KoboToolbox, ODK, SPSS, Excel).
∎ Deep understanding of community engagement, child protection systems, and humanitarian coordination mechanisms.
∎ Willingness to travel to field sites regularly.
∎ Proven track record of working in multidisciplinary teams in complex emergencies.
∎ Strong command of qualitative research methods, including tool development and field data collection with developing monitoring framework.
∎ Excellent writing, analysis, and communication skills in English
∎ Deep understanding of the Rohingya refugee response and local cultural context.
∎ Ability to work independently in remote and challenging environments.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Assess the inclusivity and quality of structured and community-based psychosocial support (PSS) programs.
∎ Conduct capability assessments of frontline workers in delivering appropriate services.
∎ Assess adolescents’ knowledge and confidence in applying life skills.
∎ Evaluate community awareness and empowerment on child protection and GBV issues.
∎ Monitor safe space service provision and community participation.
∎ Review the quality and impact of the Positive Parenting program, particularly its role in behavior changes and prevention of household violence.
∎ Monitor the effectiveness of awareness, prevention, and risk mitigation activities aimed at reducing violence against children and women.
∎ Assess the functionality and impact of Community-Based Child Protection Committees (CBCPCs) in referral and awareness creation.
∎ Conduct data quality monitoring across sectors.
∎ Visit households and collect data from a representative sample of household members by using enumerators.
∎ Conduct other essential monitoring activities such as Post Distribution Monitoring (PDM), Rapid Needs Assessments, End-user Monitoring, and Outcome Assessments as needed.
∎ Assist in developing and adapting tools, Bangla guideline and methodologies for monitoring child protection activities.
∎ Provide clear, timely, and analytical reports to EIMS and UNICEF PMR and Programme teams.
∎ Perform other relevant tasks as requested in alignment with the TPM objectives.
∎ Collaborate with community groups, stakeholders, and local authorities to ensure inclusive participation and feedback loops.
∎ Document and report field findings, lessons learned, and best practices to inform future interventions.
∎ Job Context:
∎ As part of its strategic partnership with UNICEF, EIMS is committed to ensuring the highest standards of child safeguarding and protection in all programme interventions. In this context, EIMS is seeking a qualified and experienced Child Protection Expert to play a pivotal role in strengthening child protection outcomes across UNICEF-supported programmes. The position is designed to ensure that child protection activities are effectively monitored, and that feedback from communities and stakeholders informs programme improvements and policy decisions.
∎ This role requires strong analytical skills, in-depth knowledge of child protection frameworks, and the ability to work collaboratively with field teams, partners, and communities to enhance accountability, programme quality, and child safety across all interventions.
∎ Contract duration: Up to December, 2025. (Position will extend based on availability of fund)
