Educational Requirements:
∎ Master's degree in Business Administration/Finance/Economics or equivalent, preferably certification in Risk Management (CRM) through Professional Risk Management Institute.

Job Context:
∎ We are looking for Chief Risk Officer (CRO) as a part of Senior Management Cadre of a financial institution.
∎ CRO is responsible for overlooking "Enterprises Risk Management" functions of the company and guide the business segment for prudent business acquisitions within targeted sectors and segments and rolling out effective Portfolio Risk Management strategies. The CRO will ensure that the company maintains adequate credit, market, operational and environmental risk coverage and remains in compliance with regulatory guidelines, internal policies and procedures. CRO shall report to MD and apprise the Board as per the approved Risk Management Framework.
∎ The CRO will also be responsible for managing & supervising Credit Administrative function of the company and ensuring that pre & post disbursement approval formalities remain compliant and up to date, in line with regulatory guidelines and Company policies & procedures.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Update, improve and upgrade Enterprises Risk Management Policy document and get the same approved from the Board on time-to-time basis.
∎ Update, improve and upgrade credit, market, operational and environmental Risk management Policies on time-to-time basis and roll out policy manuals and guidebooks internally to ensure effective implementation across the Company.
∎ Manage the process of identifying and assessing the risks and Organize appropriate internal and external risk reporting.
∎ Establish Portfolio Risk Management framework as per macro-economic fundamentals and market trends and define risk appetite statements for the company, segmental and sectoral exposure limits exposure allocations, caps etc. as and when needed.
∎ Develop and implement Credit & Market risk identification and assessment mechanism and organize appropriate internal and external risk reporting mechanism for Top Management and Board.
∎ Working closely with the Board and providing appropriate reports and analysis for effective and efficient decision making.
∎ Understand market risk aspects and develop methodology to conduct scenario analysis and predict possible trends, which will lead the company to strengthen market risk management framework, embed risk mitigation parameters/ranges and stop loss triggers etc.
∎ Develop and install the Treasury function for effective market risk management.
∎ Have comprehensive understanding of BASEL III regime and IFRS functionality.
∎ Manage and oversee functions required under BB regulations/ guidelines of Basel - III assigned to Risk Management functions.
∎ Have thorough understanding of risk modeling and predictive assessment techniques to support management decisions.
∎ Support the management in evaluating strategic investment opportunities and contribute in the Executive Committee proceedings.
∎ Lead and update top management with potential market challenges, stress analysis.
∎ Report to the Management and the Board on the risks pertaining to credit and market exposures.
∎ Supervise Credit Administration function and implement strict control framework for pre & post credit disbursements.
∎ Establish robust MIS to highlight irregularities, past dues, documentation deficiencies, etc.
∎ Ensuring post disbursement compliance with approved terms and conditions, assignment to rights, review expiry of credits, progress payment insurance, post fact mortgage etc.
∎ Actively contribute in management committees and supporting top management in formalizing forward looking and prudent business strategy.
Additional Requirements:
∎ 10 - 15 years of relevant experience ideally in a Financial Institution/ Bank, with a proven track record.
