• At least 5-10 year(s) work experience as a COO/CEO.

• Skills Required: Analytical ability, Excellent communication skill, Leadership and interpersonal skills, Problem Solving, Public Speaking.

• Leadership Skill.

• The Chief Operating Officer will lead the Hospital`s operational delivery, ensuring the delivery of high quality, cost effective services that are innovative and responsive to the needs of patients. The Chief Operating Officer will work closely with the Chief Nurse and Medical Doctor/consultants and staff to improve the quality, safety and experience of patients care.

• Advise the Board of Directors on matters relating to the operational delivery of the Hospital and clinical support services.

• Lead the Clinical Divisions in contributing to and implementing the strategic aims, developing a shared understanding and commitment to these aims.

• Translate strategy into actionable steps for growth, implementing organization-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operations planning

• Ensure effective systems, processes and performance management arrangements are in place to deliver high standards of performance and the quality of patient services.

• Ensure robust demand and capacity plans are in place to deliver the contracted levels of activity and the potential demands of emergency activity.

• Drive service development, modernization and innovation across the divisions, promoting a hospital culture of continuous service improvement.

• Establish robust systems of clinical and corporate governance, financial management, risk management and compliance in the Divisions, ensuring the Trust continuously learns in response to incidents, by listening to patients and staff and from complaints and claims

• To maintain and develop policy as required.

• To ensure best practice HR methods and tools are used by the Hospital.
