• Excellent knowledge of hotel and hospital’s MEP design management & coordination, engineering Operation systems, project management, property maintenance management and real estate projects.

• Ability to work under high-demand environments and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D is an added advantage.

Unique Group is looking for a highly experienced and dynamic professional for the position of Chief Engineer – MEP to lead and oversee all engineering, technical, maintenance, construction, renovation, and project management activities across its diversified business concerns of Unique Group including hospitality (hotel), property maintenance management, and real estate sectors. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring smooth MEP, including kitchen & laundry engineering operations; project execution; interdepartmental coordination and design management; coordination with the foreign consultant team to ensure compliance with design and execution standards to ensure errorless execution and high-quality standards; and effective coordination among stakeholders for all ongoing and upcoming projects of the Group.

• Lead and manage all engineering, construction, MEP, maintenance, and technical operations across the group's all projects and properties.

• Oversee all engineering activities related to real estate developments, commercial buildings, hotel projects, hospital projects, renovations, and property maintenance and facility management.

• Ensure smooth operation and maintenance of HVAC; electrical; plumbing, including WTP, ETP & STP; firefighting; kitchen; laundry; refrigeration; generators; elevators; and other relevant MEP engineering systems.

• Lead and supervise MEP engineering teams, , contractors, vendors, and project stakeholders to ensure timely and quality project delivery.

• Prepare and monitor project progress, budgets, timelines, and resource utilization to ensure efficient project execution.

• Ensure compliance with BNBC, fire & life safety regulations, environmental standards, NFPA, IEC, ASHRAE, BS, EN, IEEE and LEED/EDGE certifications; hotel and hospital brand standards; and other applicable local authority requirements.

• Lead preventive and corrective maintenance programs for all hospitality and real estate properties.

• Lead MEP design management, including reviewing the design basis report (DBR), drawings & design, technical specifications, BOQs, and project documentation for approval and implementation.

• Coordinate with the consultant team (local & foreign), contractors, design & project execution team of international chain hotel operators, and internal departments for effective project coordination.

• Ensure MEP engineering execution is errorless and complies with supreme quality, safety standards, and operational efficiency requirements and compatibility.

• Conduct regular inspections, technical audits, and technical evaluations of machinery and equipment systems of the properties that are under operations. Review all MEP-related tender documents and prepare comprehensive Tender Documents (TD); conduct a structured process for shortlisting qualified vendors, suppliers, and contractors; organize and lead technical pre-bid meetings to clarify requirements; prepare Technical Comparative Statements (Technical CS); resolve all item-wise technical discrepancies; and provide well-founded recommendations for final selection, with the objective of shortlisting qualified and capable local and international suppliers, contractors, and vendors, ensuring technical compliance, cost-effectiveness, transparency, and timely execution of projects. Review and approve contractors’ technical submissions (catalogues, calculations, and shop drawings) to ensure compliance with project requirements. Ensure effective project execution as per approved scope, drawings, specifications, materials, schedule, budget, and quality standards through proper planning, coordination, monitoring, and timely issue resolution, while maintaining safety compliance. Prepare and present MPRs, MEP DDRs, and risk registers to ensure timely delivery, quality assurance, technical compliance, and proactive risk management.

• Oversee receipt, quality inspection, and proper storage of MEP materials (local and imported), ensuring compliance, effective inventory control, and uninterrupted project execution.

• Conduct performance evaluations of subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and contractors, and ensure robust contract governance through compliance with contractual terms, technical specifications, quality workmanship, variation and claims management, and company policies to engage reliable stakeholders, maintain contractual integrity, and achieve cost-effective project outcomes while ensuring timely delivery.

• Lead troubleshooting, risk assessment, and technical problem-solving for MEP engineering and operational challenges.

• Develop and implement MEP engineering SOPs, preventive maintenance schedules, and operational guidelines.

• Ensure energy efficiency, sustainability practices, and cost optimization initiatives across all properties and projects.

• Support/provide to the management strategic planning, policies, optimum usages of the resources, energy efficiency, and future expansion of business with trends and market dynamics.

• Responsible for maintaining efficient and effective communication and coordination with senior management, project teams, and external stakeholders as per protocol.
