• Pre-opening experience in a five-star / upper-upscale hotel will be considered a strong advantage.

• Experience with international hotel brands in the Dhaka market will be an added advantage.

• Excellent command of MS Office (especially advanced Excel) and strong knowledge of hotel financial systems (Opera, SUN, Micros, Odoo etc.).

• Deep knowledge of hotel P&L management, cost control and financial analysis.

• Well-groomed, organized, highly detail-oriented with strong leadership presence.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English (written & verbal).

• Strong analytical ability, strategic thinking and result-oriented approach.

• Ability to lead teams, work under pressure and remain available as per business demands.

• High integrity, confidentiality and professional ethics.

Job Context

Q Hotel Dhaka – a concern of Quality Hospitality Limited – is an upcoming Five-Star Hotel with Multi-Purpose Office Complex featuring two independent 20-storied towers (built-up area more than 35,000 sqm) located at Purbachal New Town, adjacent to the 300 Feet Express Way. The hotel will feature 152 well-appointed guestrooms & suites (including 2 Presidential Suites), 4 international standard restaurants & lounge, multi-purpose banquet & conference facilities, outdoor heated swimming pool, gymnasium, spa & wellness centre.

The hotel is currently in the pre-opening phase and is expected to commence full operation in Q4 2026. We are looking for a highly competent, strategic and result-driven professional for the position of Chief Accountant. The position will be the overall Head of the Accounts & Finance Department of the hotel and will report directly to the General Manager and Managing Director.

Job Responsibilities

• Act as the Head of Accounts & Finance of the hotel and take full ownership of all financial operations, controls, reporting and compliance.

• Oversee and manage the complete finance function including financial accounting, management accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, taxation, internal control and statutory compliance.

• Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) along with variance analysis and management commentaries to the General Manager and Managing Director.

• Lead the entire budgeting and forecasting process of the hotel, monitor performance against budget and drive cost control and profitability improvement across all departments.

• Ensure strong internal control systems, safeguard hotel assets and implement robust financial policies and procedures.

• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliation, fixed assets, inventory valuation and all other accounting operations.

• Ensure full compliance with Bangladesh VAT, Tax, Companies Act, labour laws and all other statutory requirements. Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants and regulatory authorities.

• Supervise, mentor and develop the entire Accounts & Finance team to maintain high standards of accuracy, integrity and productivity.

• Support the General Manager and department heads with financial insights, cost analysis and data-driven decision making.

• Manage hotel cash flow, banking relationships, working capital and fund management.

• Lead the pre-opening set-up of the entire finance system, chart of accounts, accounting software, policies, procedures and internal controls.

• Perform any other duties assigned by the General Manager / Managing Director as per business requirements.
