Job Context:
∎ The key purpose of this position is to carry out the duties and responsibilities of Center Manager for the project `Self Reliance and Livelihoods Project` to ensure effective implementation of Self Reliance intervention maintaining the highest possible level of standards and quality by ensuring necessary support to the project and utilizing resources for implementation.
∎ The duration of the contract will be until December 31, 2021.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ To manage all production-related activities in a non-woven (jute) production center
∎ Plan, supervise and monitor the production process to supply products within lead time
∎ Monitor hourly production status, solve & give suggestions if any problem arises at sewing.
∎ Establish effective coordination with cutting, sewing, finishing, packing, maintenance, store and marketing team for smooth operation of production.
∎ Distribute duties and responsibilities to subordinates, supervise their work and keep connection with the respective department.
∎ To achieve and maintain a good efficiency level by closely follow-up the input and delivery process
∎ Should have technical knowledge about modern production tools & method.
∎ To maintain the floor administration
∎ To maintain good communication and counseling with the workers
∎ Ensure the quality benchmark of the products by minimizing defect percentage
∎ Guide and take necessary steps to minimize cost and rejection rate of the productsand ensure line balancing.
∎ Check the sample, requisition sheet and costing sheet before approval
∎ Evaluate staff performance, ensure floor discipline, identify training needs and manage their career development.
∎ Prepare monitoring tools according to the project indicators.
∎ To maintain the compliance rules in line with the organizational policy
∎ Assist to develop report/documents/training plan as per the organizational needs.
∎ Perform any other related duties or responsibilities that may be assigned by the project team.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 28 to 45 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ Knowledge of yarn, fabric, weaving / knitting, dyeing & finishing process, garments manufacturingprocess etc.
∎ Skilled in MS Office, Excel and e-mail communication
∎ Having a good communication skill in English both speaking and writing, Fluency in local language (Chittagong) will get extra benefit.
∎ Good leadership, Committed, Independent & conceptual skills
Salary: Tk. 90000 (Monthly)
